## What is Meet & Move?

Meet & Move is the latest social fitness app dedicated to improving your physical health while meeting new friends & neighbors in your local area, all for free! Developed by Northern Westchester Hospital and Northwell Health, Meet & Move is a non-profit, public health initiative that will match you with available physical activities based upon your interests and desired locations.

Meet & Move is partnered with many of the local fitness studios, state parks, & town recreation departments that you love to bring you an all-encompassing, group exercise experience. 

By signing up as a free user, Meet & Move will:
    * Provide you with a comprehensive list of group physical activities with descriptions, dates, times, locations, and links to event sites
    * Filter activities based upon skill level to ensure the desired level of competency (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Any)
    * Allow you to create your own events, invite other individual users, or keep it open to the general public
    * Share your favorite events with family and friends via Facebook, SMS, and Email
    * Connect you to other users with similar interests
    * Make you healthier and happier!

LOVE this app!  I’m new to northern Westchester and I have been looking for ways to meet people as well as be active. Meet & Move has connected me with others in my town who like to play pickleball and take walks. What took so long for someone to create this app?!?

App offers hundreds of ways to get moving in your neighborhood everyday!  You can search by exertion level and activity. Pickleball, garden tours, naturalist walks, yoga, kayaking, bowling, dance, basketball, ice skating, cycling, over 70 different types of activities. Haven’t found anything else like this!

Finally, a simple way to know what healthy activities are going on in my neighborhood. It was simple to sign up and within 1 minute I found a tai chi class to enroll in! I look forward to using this more frequently. Very intuitive and user friendly app.
