It tried to update a file called MCU and afterwards nothing. Now I get the words “CARD READER” on the screen and that’s that. Can’t connect, can’t read card, even in my computer. I’m so disappointed. I can’t even return it to Amazon because it’s been slightly over a month. Totally wasted money. In most cases, this happens when a payment fails or the subscription is not renewed correctly, which causes the plan to be paused. Not great. It’s to the point that it’s rendered useless. Reviewed 2weeks later: Feedback in app does not work so reviewing here... 1. Jerky when playing test videos 2. Not picking up movement when in place. 3. Was always a battery hog, so I will use fewer batteries now. ### 1/5 — Junk *2024-09-09* Don’t do it! They are a pain to get set up. Then they pick and choose when to capture pics. And then if that isn’t bad enough it takes pics but won’t send them to you. Defeats the purpose of paying for the service. ### 1/5 — No longer pushes notifications *2024-05-22* This app worked great for the first few months then it just stopped sending notifications. The camera is still taking photos and videos, but I don’t get a notification when new ones are taken. I have to log in to see them. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole set up. I was able to get a refund for the camera itself, but I cannot get a refund for the service that is now practically useless. And I of course paid for a year in advance. When the subs option ends, I won’t renew and will go with a different set up with a more reliable app. ### 1/5 — Suspicious permissions requests *2024-04-29, version 1.3.27* The app *requires* location permission to work. It also requires *full* access to your photos library to save recorded pictures and clips. “Limited” photos permissions is enough for most apps and there is no reason this app needs full access. Same thing for location access. This camera is meant to be deployed in the middle of nowhere.
