I had nothing to do over the weekend so this was an awesome way to kill time! Это видно по зеленому индикатору активности камеры. ### 5/5 — Amazing 🤩 *2020-07-25, version 2.19.5* So we subscribed to Mel Science about two months ago and now we are getting a science kit every month, this month we got a flame set that you could change the mini fire 🔥 from a normal flame to green or blue and make it spark with the chemicals provided we could also burn some magnesium which was mesmerising to watch. Mel science is amazing we are exited for our next kit next month! I fully recommended this to anybody who likes or wants to have a go at science 🧪. I also love how it explains things to you for example it tells you what is happening and what the chemicals etc are doing! 😁. Absolutely amazing and I recommend it. 🙂😀 ### 5/5 — So much fun to discover in this app! *2020-07-12, version 2.19.5* I love the app and all I’ve done is a fire snake and I love it already! 🐍 ### 4/5 — Good system, but missing some experiments? *2020-06-28, version 2.19.5* The system is pretty good l, has lots of info and the experiments are really good. However, at least one of the kit experiments is not present in the app, specifically the first one, the foam lava one. This was an odd omission. Otherwise, provides a good intro to chemistry. Regarding the system as a whole, it might be useful if each experiment could provide a little more detail on the formulae behind what’s going on, along with just showing the compound notations, but that’s a minor refinement. ### 1/5 — Code scanner broken *2020-04-30, version 2.17.1* Doesn’t even scan my qr. ### 2/5 — No support and experiments don’t always look like the ones in the video *2020-04-13, version 2.16.3* I have cancelled my subscription as my kids didn’t find the experiments either easy or interesting enough. I got charged again after i cancel my subscription and the email i sent to their support team as per their website, bounced back! I would say a lot of smoke and mirrors. ### 1/5 — Instructions don’t match kit contents *2020-03-07, version 2.15.1* For example, we are doing the sugar monster and the stove, bottles, and mixtures don’t match what’s in the kit. Multiple pieces broke as I was building it. I had to cut up multiple pieces for them to be able to fit where they were supposed to. The instructions were incorrect, pieces were missing, miscalculated timing, etc. Three of my friends helped me out and every single person had a similar issue. This app and building sets are abominable and a huge waste of money. Save the cash for your bills, please. ### 1/5 — Just bad. So disappointing *2024-05-05* MEL science is so disappointing. The app is super confusing. Maybe it works if you take the time to figure it all out, but who has time for that especially if you have an impatient kid who’s trying to get a project done. Also the first project we did was pretty bad too. Downloaded the app on our family iPad and clicked the experience by we got. Immediately asked to sign in. We don’t have email on this iPad because multiple people use it. Ask support if there’s some way other than email to sign in. Support resets my password—which I didn’t ask for but also tells me I don’t need to sign in. I point out I didn’t ask for this and it still doesn’t fix my issue of signing in. I ask if there’s a different subscription required because it’s not clear, and ask where the QR code is that other customers have mentioned, and in include a screenshot showing me being asked to sign in. Support responds that I don’t need to sign in and ignores the screenshot. If this experience is anything like the experiments, done. ### 1/5 — Hello bad *2020-06-24, version 2.17.1* This app is good ### 1/5 — Confused *2020-05-12, version 2.17.1* At first my daughter and I liked this because the experiments. But this month we got the box and BOTH experiments were defected, one actually caught on fire and burned the Petri dish, I have emailed and called them at least 5-7 times to get a refund with absolutely no response. The kits are amazing. We have nothing but praise for the fantastic team at Mel Science. During lockdown the live lessons from Dan and Mark have been brilliant aided by Kat answering students live questions. The teaching is exemplary and such fun. My son loves the whole set up and can’t wait for Wednesdays. What a super way for kids to learn science!
