Customer Service is a little bit difficult to deal with, but the tool itself has been great. ### 1/5 — Blocked account, no reason given *2025-11-21, version 2.5.1* My account was blocked. It’s concerning that despite having advanced technology, you do not support payments to legitimate vendors via wire transfer—especially when invoices are provided. Your customer support responses I received were cold, generic copy/paste messages with no explanation as to why the payments were marked as “failed.” Additionally, the company is based in Israel. If someone chooses not to support businesses from that region due to ongoing geopolitical concerns, they may prefer to avoid using Melio. ### 2/5 — …waiting for a response *2025-11-12, version 2.5.1* Great company until you need them to respond… Due to the lack of a timely and substantive response regarding the payment processing issue, I feel it is necessary to compile a comprehensive review detailing our current experience, which I intend to post publicly. The continued delay, despite our providing all requested documentation (specifically the confirmation that the Chase Bank dispute has been dissolved, sent on November 7, 2025), is critically slowing down our small business operations. This inability to process payments prevents us from compensating our contractors, which is having a severe impact on our workflow and reputation. I sincerely hope we can resolve this internally and immediately and hate to have to do this. But we emailed them alarmist every three days asking for an update. ### 1/5 — Does not support connection by account/routing number *2025-11-10, version 2.5.1* Melio claims you can connect your bank account *without* plaid by using your bank/account number instead. This however is not true. When setting up an account I attempted to connect multiple bank accounts which all failed. Upon reaching out to Melio support they claimed they were “working on it”. After two months waiting, I cancelled my service. Support wanted me to install a browser extension to record my activities in order to get more information for their support team, however this is clearly an issue with several banks on their end and recording my activity was unacceptable to me. Businesses that prefer not to agree to Plaid’s data practices will be out of luck with this program. ### 1/5 — Waste of time ! *2025-09-22, version 2.4.1* Utterly useless process to setup the account you are better off using traditional banking. Completely inconsistent and incoherent customer service experience complete lack of cohesive experience for setting up an account and complete waste of time if trying to process any level of payment via ACH. ### 1/5 — First day they ban me for no reason *2025-07-11, version 2.2.1* They ban people for no reason. I used the app to make a purchase from a company that processes payments through Melio, but things went south when the company didn’t ship some of my items. I tried reaching out to them countless times—through emails, chats, and phone calls—and got absolutely no response. Feeling stuck, I had no choice but to do a chargeback to get my money back. I thought that was the end of the stress, but then Melio suspended my account because of the chargeback. I reached out to them for clarification, asking how I could get a refund for the items I never received, and their response was basically “not our problem.” Overall, this whole situation has been a frustrating experience, and I can’t recommend Melio based on how poorly they handle these kinds of situations ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for receiving *2025-04-15, version 1.35.0* You can’t receive payments on mobile so if you use Melio for invoicing, this app won’t work ### 2/5 — Warning *2025-02-24, version 1.34.1* First off this is a money exchange app that has no human for customer service to talk on the phone . When I tried to contact them about my missing ach payment of $400 they immediately closed my account. I had already made copies and screenshots of the transactions numbers though and when I let customer service know through email only they said they never did it . I responded with I have the transactions numbers though number and now they won’t respond back . I have all the info and now nobody will respond to where my 400$ is located or if I’ll ever get it back it’s now been a month and basically it seems like they are able to just take my money . Currently looking at other options. After successfully making payments for months, they are now saying they cannot verify my business and are requesting documentation but there is no way to submit it through the app. Very frustrated. I HAVE WORK TOMORROW! I can’t afford to be up at 3AM worrying about if I’m going to be able to continue going to school because this stupid app doesn’t have a way to go back and pay as guest after! I need to pay my tuition! I need to go to school so I can get a better job! I can’t be playing around with an AI that only knows 3 things and can’t help beyond that because of a failed payment and them locking the stupid account their app more or less locked me into! If you want a good site make it easier to deactivate or go back to pay as a guest rather than HAVING to pay as business to business! The standard ach payments take around 7 days. They count the first business day as day “0” and go from there. Customer service is horrible. They are really slow even you are US citizen and you have not a new company and you are sending money abroad to one of the most famous company at that country and that sector they will stop your transfer and will ask you many questions after they receive your response. Just lost time and free information for them. Don’t share information with with spammers. ### 1/5 — Misleading “Same-Day Wire” and Zero Support *2025-12-29, version 2.7.0* Melio is completely unreliable if you need time-sensitive payments. I selected same-day wire transfer, sent the payment before the cutoff time, and the system clearly showed delivery the same day. Hours later: • My credit card was not charged • The vendor did not receive funds • There was no confirmation the wire was even sent I contacted live chat, and instead of actual help, I was told to send an email and wait 1–2 business days for a reply. For a SAME-DAY WIRE. Unreal. The agent couldn’t even tell me whether the wire would arrive the same day or not, despite the platform advertising it as same-day. The only option they offered was to cancel the payment no explanation, no escalation, no accountability. This is misleading at best and dangerous for anyone dealing with closings, vendors, or urgent business payments. If timing matters in your business, do not trust Melio. It’s been over a week since I was asked to provide my banking information. It’s a lot of money to just put on hold like that. Consistently given the run around, estimated dates, no actual receipts of the transaction.
