## What is Mella?

Perimenopause is confusing. Cycles shift, sleep gets lighter, energy moves in ways you can't quite place. Mella helps you see the pattern.

How it works:

• Start with a short assessment. Based on the symptoms you share, Mella suggests which phase of the transition your pattern best fits (early, mid, or late). For education, not a medical diagnosis.

• See your symptom profile. Your answers mapped across six dimensions (temperature, sleep, mood, body, intimate, digestive) so you can spot what's shifting and what isn't.

• Check in daily. Thirty seconds to log 16 common perimenopause symptoms. Your history builds into a timeline so you can see what's changing over time.

• See your sleep, scored. Connect Apple Health and Mella turns your Apple Watch sleep into a nightly score, plus trends in duration, regularity, and wake-ups.

• Gentle daily reminders. An optional daily nudge so checking in becomes a habit.

• Meet your Bloom Type. After seven days of check-ins, Mella reveals the archetype your pattern most resembles: the cluster of symptoms you carry, the way they travel, the rhythm that's only yours. It's a name for what's happening, not a diagnosis.

• Daily personalized tips. A small action each morning, drawn from research and matched to the areas where you have the most room to feel better.

• Follow a daily plan. Small daily steps, matched to the symptom area you said hits hardest, with one control for how much a day asks of you.

• Get weekly insights. As your check-in history grows, Mella highlights patterns across your symptoms week to week, in plain language.

• Read or listen on your own time. Short, research-informed articles on perimenopause topics, from sleep to mood to body changes. Selected articles come with audio narration.

• Keep your daily routine in one place. What you take and do each day, with a history you can look back through and bring to an appointment.

• Export a summary for your doctor. Turn your check-in history into a one-page PDF you can save or share before an appointment.

Mella is for education and wellness. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

### 1/5 — $25 a month or Nada!

*2026-08-27*

I wanted to trial this app but there is sadly no such option. Other more comprehensive trackers are available for less than $300 a year, so the $25 monthly fee is a bit shocking. Disappointed I can’t even open the app features to see if it’s going to be a good fit for me or not. One thing perimenopause gives us women is less patience and faster walking shoes - I will give my money elsewhere!

### 5/5 — Super helpful and well-designed!

*2026-08-03*

Truly a great companion. It makes tracking symptoms effortless and provides clear, valuable insights

### 5/5 — A Truly Personalized Companion for Perimenopause

*2026-07-29*

I’ve tried a lot of health apps over the years, but Mella is in a league of its own. The level of personalization is incredible—it genuinely feels like the app is designed around me, not just around generic information.

The education inside the app is evidence-based, easy to understand, and incredibly empowering. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by all the changes that come with perimenopause, I feel informed, supported, and much more in control of my health.

What has impressed me the most is the level of care. Every interaction feels thoughtful and intentional. It’s clear that the people behind Mella truly care about helping women navigate this stage of life with knowledge, compassion, and encouragement.

If you’re in perimenopause and wondering whether this app is worth it, my answer is an enthusiastic yes. It’s become one of the most valuable tools I use for my health, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

### 5/5 — Great Resource!

*2026-07-29*

Mella has helped me better navigate perimenopause. I really like the dashboard that shows you where you are for things like sleep, digestion, emotional, libido, and more. The quick-read blogs and recipes are good to get what you need and the short amount of time we have. I appreciate the check-in with a nurse who understands hormones and can connect with what I am experiencing while also giving advice and encouragement. The team really wants to be a helpful resource as we navigate perimenopause and it shows.

### 5/5 — Great Source of Information

*2026-07-29*

I am using this app in conjunction with care from my OBGYN and general practitioner. It is a great source of information, and I love the ability to track my symptoms. I’m so glad to see more options becoming available for women. Especially those that may not have access to the medical care I do.

### 1/5 — Make this app free!

*2026-07-17*

This app is total BS! It’s way too expensive! Do not download!

### 1/5 — It’s a start

*2026-07-17*

I’m still learning this app, but there are a few key things that I think could be better configured:

There seems to be some type of a bug with the sleep data, because it consistently thinks I’m getting 3 to 4 hours of sleep. My Health app shows more so I’m not sure what the disconnect is.

I also think it would be great if we could check in on previous days. Right now you can only check in for that day on that day. Sometimes I forget about it and try to go back and do yesterday’s in the morning, but there’s no way to access it. I think that’s a huge miss.

### 5/5 — Informative app

*2026-07-15*

Honestly I was skeptical at first but the app is really well thought. I recommended it to my friends and now we’re checking in together.

### 5/5 — Very Helpful

*2026-07-15*

I’m trying to get a handle of what I’m going through, so far I feel like the app is useful for that

### 1/5 — Expensive to use

*2026-07-05*

They want to charge $24.99 a month for information on perimenopause. Cost too much.
