Guided by a friendly little bee, MeloBeeka helps you read, hear and understand music at your own pace - from your very first note to scales, chords and advanced harmony. It is built for everyone: curious kids, teens, and adult learners picking music back up or going deep. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced musician following a conservatory curriculum, MeloBeeka grows with you.

- A free-play sandbox to explore and just play

A progression that keeps you motivated

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-06

New:
Rhythm module: independent metronome, rhythmic dictation, and binary/ternary ear training (conservatory FM 1C2).
Treble & bass clef selector in note reading and dictation.
Chords & scales explorer: windowed fretboard, selectable positions, piano voicings, staff view and synced tablature — finally readable.
"Write the note": place the note on the staff (any octave of the right name counts when the name is shown).
Spelled accidentals: tap the note, then its variants — no more slider.
Adjustable level per exercise (easier = 0 pts, harder = double points).
Reimagined Sandbox: flat instruments unlocked every 1,000 points, each with its own surface — xylophone and mallets now show real bars, not a piano.
Skill tree: pick any cycle to review past progress; mastering a higher level fills the lower ones too.
Bee coach: tap the bee for your streak, daily goal and next instrument to unlock — plus guidance and gentle reminders.
Violin: a real 4-string fingerboard with finger markers (0–4).
Growth & care: app sharing, rating prompt, daily reminder, and an optional Sandbox time limit for parents.
Appearance per profile (light/dark/system), notification inbox, new bee outfits, and Vietnamese added (23 languages).

Fixes:
"Know your instrument" overhauled (13 fixes): fretboard zoomed on the chosen position, "Root" label, Notes → Chords → Scales order, proper note game, instrument picker on the header, piano/violin without tab.
One instrument unlocked per 1,000 points, with a single clear unlock notification.
Microphone input mode removed; smoother scrolling in "My Path"; no chords for violin & bass (scales + notes only).
Plus 20+ smaller fixes: real scales with sound everywhere, systematic theory explanations, correct degree spelling, translations and accessibility.
P.S. We didn't wing it — we noted everything down. (This update really hits all the right notes — no need to fret.)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-17

Scales & modes are now real scales!
• Fretboard shows every position across all strings, each note labeled with its scale degree.
• Tablature now plays as a real run across the whole neck — with a position selector to explore each shape.
• Piano highlights the scale's keys with their degrees.
• A full catalog of scales and modes (major, natural/melodic/harmonic minor, blues, pentatonics, and the 7 modes) in every key, including sharps and flats, with the tone/semitone pattern.

New chord library
• Open major and minor chords, movable barre shapes up the neck, and triads on the top three strings.
• Piano voicings with inversions.
• Browse any chord by root and type on your instrument.

Better learning
• Scale and chord explorers now available in the lessons and the sandbox.
• Every theory and scale question now shows an explanation — whether you're right or wrong — and key signatures are clearly explained.
• Interval training gives you two tries, then always explains the answer.

Fixes & polish
• Color-blind mode now applies everywhere (note colors, harp, and feedback).
• The sandbox shows the correct instrument — guitarists get a fretboard, not a keyboard.
• Your profile is now its own tab, with the navigation bar always visible.
• Translation fixes and many small improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-15

What's New in Version 1.2

New this version:
- Scale & Mode Explorer: in "Know Your Instrument", pick any scale or mode and a root note, and see all of its notes light up right on your instrument. Scales unlock in Cycle 2 and the seven musical modes in Cycle 3.
- Instruments that look like themselves: "Know Your Instrument" now shows a visual suited to each instrument instead of always a keyboard.
- Chord explorer: chords are now shown as one clean shape on the fretboard, keyboard and tab, and you can flip through several voicings (positions on guitar, inversions on piano).
- Full scale maps: scales now highlight every note across the whole fretboard and keyboard, not just a few.
- Many more theory questions: around 100 new quiz questions covering dynamics, articulations, intervals, time signatures, rests, accidentals, key signatures, scales, modes, ornaments, the circle of fifths and more, with clear explanations.
- Note names now follow your chosen notation (Do Re Mi or C D E) everywhere.

Improvements and bug fixes:
- Note dictation now keeps the same clef from start to finish.
- Chord answers all start from the requested root note, and questions and answers now always appear in the same language.
- Color-blind mode now fully applies a color-blind friendly palette.
- Added a pull-down handle on the profile screen so it is clear you can swipe down to go back.
- Sandbox now sits at the top of the mode list.
- Additional fixes and polish.
