## What is Melodist Composer?

Melodist is a powerful, easy to use guitar, bass, drum and synth tablature writing app on your phone and tablet.

Traditional tab writing and song composition is destructive. One change and your previous version vanishes. With Melodist Composer, every edit is preserved in your composition's history: undo any change, any time. 

Melodist composer also has music analysis tools:
  - Harmonic & Rhythmic Analysis – Understand the structure of your music
  - Dynamic Analysis – Visualise volume, intensity, and expression changes
  - Motivic Analysis – Track how your musical ideas develop and transform
  - Pattern Mining – Discover recurring motifs and themes

Melodist Composer also allows for importing of Guitar pro files from version 3 all the way up to 8! As well as importing MIDI, and MusicXML files for analysis and editing.
