## What is Melody Ear Gym?

- The main purpose of this App
• This app bridges the gap between basic ear training drills and real melody recognition. 
• We created this app because we found some other melody dictation apps usually generate melody exercises that are too random and jumpy. Those exercises are not very helpful or are way too hard compared to real melodies. We created some advanced settings that most other melody dictation apps lack, and we try to generate melody exercises that are more helpful and realistic.
• Unlike some other ear training apps that create many other exercises to prepare for melody dictation but never actually take you there, we really try to bridge the gap between basic ear training drills and real melody recognition.
• Through clean, progressive exercises, it helps you build your ear training skills step by step. In the end, you’ll still turn to real songs for practice—but this time, let’s build a solid foundation first.

- Melody Dictation
Practice recognizing melodies by ear with customizable training sessions. Choose from presets or create your own with adjustable tempo, difficulty levels, and number of questions to match your skill level. 
Remark: While some other melody dictation apps tend to stay in C major for all questions, we switch keys between sessions (for example, after every 10 questions). We hope this small difference helps your ear become a bit more flexible and ready for the variety you’ll actually meet in real music.

- Interval Recognition (Up to 2 Octaves)
Train your ability to identify musical intervals by ear. Customize tempo, difficulty, and other settings to progressively improve your interval recognition skills.

- Solfege Keyboard (Free and in 4 different formats)
4 different (compact and standard) piano keyboard formats for practicing sight-singing and ear training with a Movable-Do Solfège System. The compact keyboard is optimized for one-handed use on mobile devices, while both formats include a transpose function to easily shift keys without changing fingerings.

Monitor your improvement with detailed statistics, streak counters, and progress tracking over time. Track your performance across different training modes to see your musical skills develop.
