So I was doing some experimenting an I noticed that when u sing the story or sing a song it sounds like ur Arabic or has an accent. I was thinking maybe u can work on it a bit also it sounds choppy. Just found a new way to prepare for my battle raps ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The app is broken. *2023-05-24* I purchased the subscription only for it to not work. No matter how I try to make a song, I get an “X” as it’s processing the song. I saw on another review someone experienced this and they claimed it was fixed. It is definitely not fixed. I downloaded it today a couple of hours ago. I am about to dispute this on my card. ### 1/5 — Do NOT Try Pro! *2023-05-23* It is a total scam and I have reported the app for lying about functionality. The voices are only “rap”, MelodyGenie does not generate melodies. It doesn’t generate any music. Instead, it generates some very basic lyrics and plays a text-to-speech out of rhythm with an instrumental. The vocal isn’t even synced with the music. It’s a mess, an obvious scam, and hopefully Apple can do something about it. All of the positive reviews are clearly bots that were paid for by the dev. There’s no actual way anybody who paid is satisfied with this app. It’s genuinely deceptive and I don’t get how stuff like this makes it through to the App Store ### 1/5 — How am I supposed to know if it works? *2023-02-24, version 1.30* The free version lets you do one voice (spoken word/hip-hop) and one instrumental (also hip-hop) for an app called “Melody Genie” you’ve put all of the melodies behind a paywall. How are we supposed to gauge it without even a trial? It doesn’t mark premium stuff as premium so as you tap around in the app you’re just getting hit with this relentless popup to buy premium… and all of the beats are premium. So the results are mediocre, can’t hear melodic music without paying, annoying pop-up the entire time asking for money, so… no thanks. ### 1/5 — God please just remove the app *2023-01-19, version 1.30* This isn’t about the functionality of the app. I’m sure it works. I’m concerned because it works. What people don’t realize is that by downloading this technology, these companies get more promotions and therefore get even better. Which means that at some point it’s going to get good enough to replace actual artists. There are people who work their entire lives to perfect their musical art. AI is cool, but by supporting it it’s just bringing us a bit closer to this world where everything is run by robots and humans don’t have any purpose. I just want people to see this and realize what’s happening. And I’m not sorry for overreacting. You can’t be sorry for something you didn’t do. ### 1/5 — Limited *2023-01-15, version 1.28* This app is very bad because when you choose a song, it asks you to be pro. The voice? Pro. Even the lyric delay? Pro. The app gives you very limited stuff and the end resukt doesn’t even sound good. My review will stay as a one star. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2022-12-31, version 1.0* Just made an account to generate some music and gave a very short description, and instead of giving me song lyrics it gave me something for the pro version! It didn’t let me use the MAIN FEATURE of the app! Would not recommend! **Developer response:** Hey Robot G! Thank you for the feedback. We have recently updated the app to allow users on the free version to generate songs. We hope you will give u another try! ### 2/5 — Very limited in style *2023-02-08, version 1.30* The lyrics generated is not that bad . But all the vocals are for rap, so They don’t mash well with other genres that you have available to use. Sometimes the lyrics aren’t on time to the beat of the song. Don't waste your cash, don't be a fool, Don't be taken by MelodyGenie's rule, It's not worth the money, it's not worth the time, Don't be taken in by this stupid app's crime. Don't waste your cash, don't be a fool, Don't be taken by MelodyGenie's rule, It's not worth the money, it's not worth the time, Don't be taken in by this stupid app's crime ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2023-01-19, version 1.30* I bought the pro subscription for 6.99 and whenever I try to make music, at the last step when I click create it shows me a X and doesn’t create the music.
