### 2/5 — App ruins it

*2025-06-28, version 10.1.5*

As others have said, I love the melt method content, but the app ruins the experience. It’s glitchy and unreliable. I just got back from a trip and wanted to use melt to unwind the travel stiffnesses, but all I get is a black screen. This is ridiculous for an app that is $14/month. Melt is the most expensive fitness app I subscribe to and the most frustrating to use.

### 2/5 — Can’t Get Back In & Hard to Rewind

*2024-04-30*

The app is clunky to use. It logged me out and I’ve tried the forgot password several times and it won’t send me a password rest email.

When you are in the app, it doesn’t have a 10 second rewind button, you have to try to scroll the play button over and it’s challenging to get back to something you didn’t hear. There’s no reason in 2024 that you can’t have an easy to use app with some videos in it.

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2024-04-05, version 9.1.2*

The concept of MELT is great, however this app is just terrible. Don’t purchase this product. I wish I hadn’t and want my money back.

### 2/5 — Please fix the double login!

*2024-02-20, version 9.1.2*

I’m new to melt method but agree with the other reviewers who are frustrated by the double logins EVERY time you start the app. Please fix it so it can remember your device!

### 2/5 — Frustrated…. Not user friendly

*2023-12-16*

Im frustrated- i bough this account which is not very useful when just about everytime i go to use it- you must log in! They should make it where you can choose to stay logged in! Its stressful to go check my numbers n get a reading & it takes so long to double log in! Also i had hopped that i would be able to find & make workout playlist to do on a schedule to make it most beneficial for my needs. I like that i can cast ti my smart tv but whats the point when the search function isnt great- n the log in issues! I need it to stay logged in. Please make it more user friendly & fix the log in playlist issue. Dont want to boot up my computer each time i want to workout!

### 1/5 — Not ADA compliant/friendly at all.

*2023-11-20*

I can’t remember what the web and app standards are called, but I’m pretty sure this app is not compliant. Even if it “technically” is, it’s so disappointing. If you are hearing/sight impaired or have an intellectual disability, you are basically excluded from using this. Pretty awful for something healthcare related. The player needs a 15 second rewind and 30 second forward feature and the player needs to offer the user the ability to speed up or slowdown the video. I had no idea that a player without these features even existed any longer. My podiatrist, physio, and OT all recommended MELT because it is awesome. I’ve been paying for over a year and rarely use it because it’s too frustrating to try and go back and hear what was said. The instructors speak really fast.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-09-09*

Sue Hitzmann, MELT originator, is genius at instructing this method. The app offers videos to start, sustain, and advance your home practice.

Unfortunately, the videos vary in quality. The Abdominal Attunement video, for example, is missing its soundtrack. Although there may be other videos related to abdominal strength, according to customer service, I particularly want to hear what Sue has to say in this one.

Another example: The Golf Prep video is washed out to yellow. How embarrassing to promote MOD to friends and clients and end up showing them a video like that. Color correction, people!

Four other suggestions for making the app better: 1) add 10 second rewind and fast forward buttons to allow for quick review and quick navigation to desired segments. 2) add the option to stay signed in. 3) keep the “leaderboard” from repeatedly sliding onto the main window from the screen's right edge. 4) make transcripts of each video available so we can review what Sue's teaching in print (and substitute for a missing soundtrack, if need be).

### 1/5 — Joan

*2023-07-19*

I love the melt method, but hate the new app. Like other reviews I am frustrated by the unnecessarily redundant sign in. I should not have to enter my email twice. There should be a way to remember my info. The old app seemed to have that function. Also, once I finish a class I get stuck in that place. I haven’t figured out how to go to home page and end up closing the program and opening again with the login starting all over again.

### 2/5 — Doesn't work on AppleTV

*2023-05-23, version 9.1.1*

It's a great program! I hope the app gets an overhaul to make it more user friendly, and I hope one day, I can use it on AppleTV. Frustrating having to enter email/ password twice.

### 4/5 — Just like our bodies, this app needs some tweaks

*2023-05-01*

Would it be possible to adjust this app so that it can function in landscape view? My iPad stand only works in landscape view so it is awkward and cumbersome to go from portrait (when choosing a video) and then to landscape (when performing the exercises). Also, when arriving on the first landing page, you are asked to put in your email and the automatic caps lock is on—maybe disable that function as most emails would start with a lower case letter.

On a final note, Melt has helped me so much, it cannot be understated. If the ease-of-use aspect of the app could be improved it would be simply wonderful.

### 2/5 — No other app

*2023-03-14, version 9.1.1*

makes you sign in EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it, let alone with a double entry of your email address.

### 1/5 — App is a Nightmare

*2023-01-12, version 9.1.0*

I restarted my subscription when I saw that there was an updated app. I already regret it. I would have preferred to keep the old, clunky app where at least I could log in consistently and actually see the videos without all of the nonsense about who else is taking the class. (They’re prerecorded stretching classes, why on earth would we need a leaderboard?)

### 1/5 — Horrible log in experience

*2023-01-03, version 9.1.0*

It is a very frustrating experience have to enter my email address to then go to the page where I am to enter my login credentials, neither of which seem to allow “remember me” options.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Love Melting

*2025-12-02, version 10.1.6*

The app isn’t working so I have to bring up the website which doesn’t allow me to push it up to my tv.

### 1/5 — No trial option?!

*2025-10-21, version 10.1.6*

I’ve been using Melt method for over a decade and was hoping to find an online tool to guide me through targeted sessions.

I’ve not seen an app that doesn’t give you a week+ trial before charging to use it. After opening the app you HAVE to create an account, then choose whether you want to pay monthly or annually. For what? A crummy app, given recent comments. I’ll never know.

No thanks. Deleted! Back to the books.

### 1/5 — Disappointment

*2025-10-15, version 10.1.6*

When you are looking for a moment to relax and get centered there is nothing worse than the app failing to do its part. Even more frustrating is the lack of information about outages or issues and when or if they will be fixed. Communication is nonexistent. It appears the app is more focused on sales than Melt.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-07-24, version 10.1.5*

App doesn’t even work. Paid for a subscription, the app was “down” for weeks and the support team didn’t reply to my last email enquiring. Such a waste of money

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2025-07-04, version 10.1.5*

What am I paying for? The program is good but if I can access it through the app what’s the point of subscribing?

### 1/5 — App not functional

*2025-07-03, version 10.1.5*

When I open the app I get a black screen. Restarted device, deleted and reinstalled app. Still black screen. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — I just get a black screen

*2025-06-27, version 10.1.5*

I just upgraded the app and now all I have is a black screen. I tried removing and redownloading the app w the same result. What’s going on??

### 1/5 — Not ADA compliant/friendly at all.

*2025-05-26, version 10.1.4*

5/2025 : came back to see if there was hope for this app. Sadly, looks like there is not. Melt Method is so important. Wish this app would happen. ** the following was my review from over a year ago. “I can’t remember what the web and app ' standards are called, but I’m pretty sure this app is not compliant. Even if it “technically” is, it’s so disappointing. If you are hearing/sight impaired or have an intellectual disability, you are basically excluded from using this. ### 1/5 — 2nd review

*2024-08-28*

I’ve had this APP for over two years. I love the MELT Method and am a loyal MELTER. I am so disappointed-this APP is almost in usable. I have been contacting Customer Service for 2 years in an attempt to help them make the app better by reporting the issues. I am told that I need to access MELT through my Chrome Browser. Of course when I do this, the site thinks I am a new customer and 2 ads pop up making it very difficult to actually log in. All around the experience is frustrating and disappointing.

**Developer response:** Please check again as we have made many improvements to our initial launch on the new platform including search! Feel free to contact help@meltmethod.com if you have additional issues.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2024-07-28, version 10.1.3*

Doesn’t open on Roku or iPad.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great new updates

*2024-04-29, version 10.1.3*

Love the look and ease of use on the updated app. New playlist feature is helpful for keeping videos organized by target body work.

### 5/5 — I feel younger

*2024-04-29, version 10.1.3*

Blessed to have MELT in my life. My body feels younger than it did 10 years ago.

### 5/5 — Great Experience

*2024-01-30, version 9.1.2*

I love the classes which are fun and engaging. And using the app is simple and intuitive.

### 5/5 — Can’t be without Melt on Demand and my Melt roller

*2024-01-29, version 9.1.2*

Absolutely can’t life without this app, I love Melt on Demand. A chance to explore so many different classes, not have to think myself and just follow, easily searchable on the app, what it is I need to look at for my own body. Broadening my knowledge and supporting my own body in a way that keeps me out of pain, mobile and excitingly able to exercise (swim) when previously I struggled with pain after any swimming.

### 5/5 — Such great instruction

*2024-01-25*

I love this app, especially when it can take a live class and hear all the instructions to help keep my body balanced and flexible. I also like being able to search for areas of the body that I am feeling tightness or pain and get a specific video to help.

**Developer response:** Glad you like it! Happy MELTing 💙

### 5/5 — Melt is amazing! The app is a tragedy

*2024-01-03*

I am a long time melt user. I can’t say enough good things about the method. Everyone would benefit from it. The app however, is chaotic, crowded, and not user friendly. It is a frustrating experience each time I want to use it. Starting with signing in twice every time I need to use the app. The first and older version was not perfect but it was clean, useable and less crowded.
It was easy to find the right maps, save favorites and such. Now, if I need a neck release map, for example I’m given so many options (29 to be specific). When I tap in any of the videos, each one is a long class-like platform with too many crowded and unnecessary options ( camera to record myself, list of people I don’t know and will not be necessary to connect with,…for what ?!)
Sue has made plenty of videos specific enough to help with individual problem and imbalances. Now, it seems that every instructor that has taken melt certifications is in the app. Maybe Melt should be organized into users and instructors with different apps.
Gone are the shorter, more specific uncluttered choices with an easy format that made Melting on demand easier.
Every time I go in frustrates me and makes me want to quit my 5+ years subscription.
Please fix it :(

### 5/5 — Love Melt

*2023-08-03, version 9.1.1*

This app is great & Melt method changed my life!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend!

*2022-11-23, version 9.0.5*

MELT Method is amazing! There’s a MELT technique for anything that ails you. You can enter a key word and search for a body part that needs special attention. I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Thanks for improving the new app

*2022-09-06, version 9.0.5*

Thanks for adding the search function! I’m enjoying the app!

### 5/5 — Melt on demand

*2022-08-29*

This a fantastic app!
I have been doing and teaching MELT for about 18 years. The work is amazing and has helped hundreds of students of mine.
The site has been changed in order to serve us better, so hang in there. These techniques are like nothing else you’ve ever experienced and so worth dealing with a clitch or two to be part of this method and having so many helpful maps accessible to you whenever.
