Seems to lock levels and not tell you how to unlock. Not clear how to restore purchases. This app used to be excellent but it isn’t really usable now. ### 3/5 — Limited if it’s aim is educational. *2023-02-23, version 1.1.36* It is great if you want to measure your ability to recite a melody you just heard. But the game (yes it’s a game) has little educational value because it doesn’t allow for stopping, analyzing and revising melodies; which were most actual learning happens. ### 3/5 — Bien fait mais impossible à debloquer *2022-02-07, version 1.1.35* J’ai fait quelques exercices d’initiation et je trouve le concept de l’appli bien amené pour habituer l’oreille aux notes et aux intervalles, ainsi qu’à la mémoire mélodique. Malheureusement, lorsque je veux tenter d’accéder au contenu à débloquer, l’appli m’indique qu’une connexion est nécessaire pour pourvoir débloquer alors que j’ai bel et bien accès à internet sur mon téléphone... Je ne peux donc pas aller plus loin en pratiquant avec cette appli, c’est dommage. However, the difficulty levels increase rapidly because of the timer. Timing can be useful for advanced practitioners, but in the beginning, we're looking to soak in the note and gain understanding rather than compete with ourselves. J’ai simplement une petite remarque sur la qualité du son émis par les notes : je trouve qu’il y a beaucoup de reverbation. En mode exercice, lorsque l’on veut réécouter des suites de notes à 320bpm, les sons se mélangent beaucoup à cause de cet écho... je trouve que ça rend le travail plus difficile à l’oreille. Merci ### 4/5 — Excellente application mais perfectible *2018-08-16, version 1.1.33* J’aime travailler avec Meludia avec mon téléphone et ma tablette. Malheureusement je ne retrouve pas ma progression quand je passe d’un appareil à l’autre. Pire, alors que j’ai payé les 15€ pour débloquer tous les exercices, ceux-ci le sont uniquement pour mon IPhone, je reste malheureusement bloqué sur l’IPad! Petit conseil pour ceux qui bossent avec: pensez à changer de note de référence régulièrement (tous les mois par exemple, 12 notes/12mois dans l’année) ### 4/5 — Très bien fait sauf... *2018-07-24, version 1.1.33* L’application est très bien conçue. Je l’utilise comme « chauffe » pour démarrer ma journée musicale, en changeant chaque jour la note de référence. Un défaut toutefois : dans la présentation solfiée ( do, ré, mi etc.) il arrive souvent d’avoir des demi-tons chromatiques alors qu’ils devraient être diatoniques, ce qui es fort dommage, car n’aidant pas à se représenter efficacement les échelles. Exemple : Lab la si re mib sol lab Au lieu de : lab sib dob ré mib sol lab Ou de: sol# la si do## re# fa## sol# D’ailleurs dans les choix de tonalités, il ce serait un plus d’avoir le choix entre les différentes enharmonies : do#, reb, re#, mib, fa#, solb, sol#, lab, la#, sib. Dès Bach, des partitions en Do# majeur existent, et la note sensible n’y est pas notée do, mais bien si#... Ainsi si les développeurs pouvaient intégrer cet aspect de l’orthographe musicale, ce serait très apprécié pour ma part ! Enfin, puisque la progression etant organisée par échelles, serait-il possible que leur nom apparaisse ? ### 3/5 — Not totally worth the money *2018-06-06, version 1.1.33* Paid for this app £14 and it’s not fully functional. Sometimes is speeding up by itself for a second, changing instruments when shifting screen from left to right or he other way and the worst is that every 5 minutes I have to close and reopen the app so the correction of the mistakes you do will show. Basically when you playing the notes and you do mistakes, you click on the mistakes and it should show you the correct note but as I said it stopes doing that so you have to close and reopen the app but after 5-10 minutes you have to do this again. I will recommend using it only if you are ok closing and reopening it often. If this bugs will be fixed it will worth the money, if not the price should be £3 to £5 max. ### 5/5 — Отличное приложение! *2018-04-17* Приложение очень понравилось. Это то, что я очень искал. But I can't even get through the first lesson without the app crashing. ### 1/5 — Une version complète....qui ne l’est pas vraiment *2018-03-17, version 1.1.31* Après avoir vu une vidéo de démonstration (ted x)de cette méthode, je me suis décidé à essayer cette application. La version gratuite étant une démo dans laquelle je ne retrouvais pas les exercices vus et présentés, j’ai décidé d’acheter la version complète....qui ne s’avère au final qu’être une version assez chère du jeu de société Simon. Pour bénéficier de tous les exercices, il faut utiliser la webapp (59€/an)....en effet en cherchant bien sur le site du développeur l’application iOS ne vient qu’en complément pour ear training. Cela devrait être indiqué par le développeur dans la présentation sur le store. D’autant qu’on ne peut pas se faire rembourser, et honnêtement, si j’avais pu l’être pour cette appli dont je n ai pas besoin, alors je me serais abonné tant la méthode d’apprentissage musicale proposée m’avait intéressé. ### 1/5 — Trop cher *2018-02-25, version 1.1.31* In-app à 15 euros ... Two concerns: First there hasn’t been an update for 2 years. And second, the app seems to require an internet connection too frequently for my liking. Eg after ios updates (i’m on an ipad) and after starting. If there is no internet connection the app shuts down on startup. This is unusual and neither mentioned nor explained. I can’t understand why the app needs a regular connection as it seems self-contained. An update would trigger a Privacy statement. I support the tracking suggestion. ### 2/5 — Good app but could use a few tweaks *2019-10-11, version 1.1.35* The app works alright as a learning tool but it’s gamification is extremely lazy. Each level is just a new set of notes with the exact same game mechanic. Also I don’t understand why levels are locked. Multiple times I’ve found myself wanting to explore some levels I don’t have access to. Usually, I find that I’m a hundred or more levels away from the scales I want to work on. I find myself wanting to (as quickly as possible) pass through levels so I can simply access the ones I care about. Really, three stars forces me to chunk the notes into multiple sets of 4 note melodies and play them back. My only suggestion: 1) slow it down a little at the 3 star level. The purpose is not to stratify our abilities; it is to give us more time spent on learning, and cutting back a little on on presto would provide that. 2) tell us how points awarded. Does our playback speed matter? I cannot overstate that it takes a long time to develop a good ear, to notice progress in a relatively short period of time by using this app exclusively is very significant. If you are serious about developing your musical ear and you are willing to practice for months and months even a couple of years then this is the app for you.
