### 3/5 — Love the app, doesn’t support my specific use case.

*2026-06-15*

I’ve tried this app and really enjoyed it for managing my notes for one role. However, it’s only set up currently for people who have one specific role. As soon as I added a second job to the mix or started adding personal notes, the space simply got too cluttered.

Had to switch to Craft in the meantime because they support the ability to easily switch between multiple “spaces” where I can segment different jobs and roles from one another, as well as maintain a dedicated space for my own personal notes.

Overall, it’s a great app. My use case is not everyone’s use case. But I do hope that Mem will consider adding segmented spaces in the future so I don’t have to create multiple accounts, each with their own paid subscription. That just doesn’t make sense for most people who wear multiple hats. If they’re able to do this, I would absolutely switch back.

### 3/5 — Surprise 2-hour meeting limit; some bugs (explained below)

*2026-05-15*

Happy to change this to a five-star review if this gets fixed. I’m a paid user on the Pro plan. I had switched from Granola which is able to record long meetings. Mem seemed better because all my personal notes and meeting notes can live together. I joined an important industry webinar that was four hours long. I left my computer because I knew Mem was taking notes, and it was really the summary I needed, but when I can came back I was surprised to learn Mem has a two hour limit on the paid plan. Why? Very disappointed, I needed that info and relied on Mem when I should have used Granola. I’ll also sometimes ask the app to make a change to a note (that is clearly selected and named in the chat) and it makes changes to the previous note I was working on. The typing in the iOS app also feels slightly delayed, not as fast as Google Keep or iOS notes or Granola. There are other small bugs I’d like to see fixed and features I’d like to see added (e.g., better task management capabilities), but I know those things will take time. Currently, the two hour limit recording time was a big disappointment, especially because I had relied on Mem. I’m rooting for Mem. There needs to be something like this on the marketplace. Mem just needs to get the meeting call length and features quality better, something closer to Granola. Happy to change this to a 5-star review if the recording length gets fixed.

### 4/5 — Impressive please add nodular graph view

*2026-01-12*

I’m really impressed with how capable the assistant is to carry out multi task sequences. It has been helpful in everything I have asked.

Given this powerful tool to reorganize my existing notes, I would love to see a nodular graph— Mind map style— depicting these connections across collections.

### 4/5 — I like it, but…

*2026-01-01, version 2.5.19*

Needs a widget for voice notes and the same for Apple Watch

### 3/5 — Mem 2.0 dropped the ball

*2025-12-30*

Mem could have been the next big thing. The concept is perfect, branding, design, features are all great.

The problem?

The app is so buggy that it’s basically worthless.

- Save a photo? It’s gone the next day.
- Start a list? Wacky formatting impossible to continue.
- Syncs? Sometimes.

These are basic issues and the app has been out for months.

There’s no one driving this ship, so I’m jumping to another app.

### 5/5 — Please add Russian

*2025-10-27*

### 4/5 — Great app

*2025-10-10, version 2.5.3*

Need some improvements but overall a really nice polished looking app.

### 5/5 — A must!

*2025-10-10*

This has become a must use app. I hope more and more folks will support this company.

### 5/5 — The Future of Note Taking

*2025-10-09*

This app is now officially complete, and it stands as the best notetaking app on the market. Initially, Mem faced some challenges, but with this new refresh, they’ve truly gotten it right. No more endless organizing or wasting time developing a system—just jot down your notes or let it assist you in creating one, and you’re on your way. Don’t spend countless hours trying to organize or overthink. A wise professor once told me that the most successful people don’t over plan; they take action. This is precisely what Mem’s new notetaking app empowers you to do.

### 3/5 — Not actually “voice activated”

*2025-10-09*

This app has amazing potential, but for my use case doesn’t work well because it isn’t actually voice activated/hands free. When I am driving home from work I want to be able to create notes for all the meetings I had that day, but in order to do that it requires numerous taps that I can’t do while driving: open the app, tap create note, then locate the teeny tiny microphone icon at the bottom of the screen to tap and THEN begin true hands-free use. I can’t find any information on creating a Siri shortcut that would allow me to say “Create a new note in Mem” that would be truly voice activated and hands free. Without this integration/option the app is of limited value, but has amazing potential.

I also find it quite frustrating that their blog post from Sept. 2024 actually shows the mobile app with a giant microphone icon on the screen and says “Voice Activated”, but this seems to simply be a mock-up and not how the real app looks or works. Feels like false advertising.

Update after using for a few days: there is no way to export notes as PDF to another app and the app is very glitchy in terms of syncing across devices so you can’t count on being able to retrieve notes elsewhere.

### 2/5 — Payment issues

*2025-10-07, version 2.5.2*

I paid for the monthly subscription in-app and was charged, but surprisingly still remained on the FREE plan. Then, when I accessed the web version I was prompted to pay again, and was then put on the PRO plan (after essentially paying double). Now I see that my PRO plan is slated to be canceled, and there is no way to access the web payment portal without (again) paying first. There is no customer care or helpdesk to contact either. What is going on here?

### 4/5 — 멋진 어플

*2025-10-05*

요즘 AI시대에 메모장을 찾는다면 꼭 사용해 보시기 바랍니다 제가 보기엔 가장 진보된 메모장이 아닐까 생각 됩니다

### 5/5 — Very impressed

*2025-10-03, version 2.5.2*

Absolutely love Mem.ai. It is so easy to dump my thoughts and find them later without digging through folders. The AI recall is excellent. It feels like the app just knows what I’m looking for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Missing Russian Language Support

*2026-07-01, version 2.6.18*

The app does not support Russian, which makes it difficult to use comfortably.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2026-05-11, version 2.6.11*

Spent 30 minutes trying to get my calendar to sync. It never did. Nice idea but it's supposed to save me time, not add to my work. Hopefully it'll improve.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2026-04-14, version 2.6.8*

I don’t like it

### 1/5 — Disappointing, deleted

*2026-01-17*

Was so excited to hear about this updated version. Support bummed that the functionality was so poorly conceived that I couldn’t get past basic notes. Bottom bar covers key buttons on the app, when you try to go to settings it pops up a box asking you to download the app that you’re already in. It then pushes you to the web app where when you try to type something in the ai tool there is a random black bar fully covering it so you can’t see what you type. And then it wants you to get the app. That you already have. That doesn’t work and apparently there’s no way to get help. Tried their help ai bot and it got stuck at one question. Come on folks.

### 1/5 — No webpage scrape feature

*2025-10-10, version 2.5.3*

I can’t chat with a webpage with this app

### 1/5 — Dark Mode Behind a paywall?!?

*2025-10-02, version 2.5.2*

This is pathetic. They have nothing else worth paying for so the only thing they can sell is dark mode.

### 1/5 — Love the idea - execution is lacking

*2025-10-01*

I like the functionality but it is too tightly wrapped in Google and too tied to a single email address.

I’ve also tried paying for Pro 3 times today only to have my card info erased from the Windows app and for it to charge me via my Apple subscription but not apply the upgrade(likely due to the fact it’s tied to my work email instead of my personal protonmail account used by Apple iOS App Store.

Now, I cannot even login to the app.

Would love to use the service but it is a rough go today and frankly, any time I would have saved by its use is being wasted trying to figure out how to pay them.

### 1/5 — No proper version for iPad.

*2025-09-18*

The app layout should be exactly like the Web version for iPadOS. I uninstalled it immediately.

### 1/5 — Open your API

*2025-09-17*

Open your AI to let capture notes in existing documents

### 1/5 — Seriously

*2025-03-31, version 2.2.2*

The only reason I’m giving this app a one star is because it’s trying to force you to sign in on Google rather than Apple which of course going to protect my email and more than Google. I like using this app but I’m thinking of deleting it soon if you don’t change the ability to up using Apple.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Mem is the best!

*2026-07-28*

I’ve been using Mem for years now on and off. I go away and keep coming back. But after all of these new features, including Mem agent, I can’t imagine changing. It is my second brain, thought partner. And the team is always so quick to respond.

### 5/5 — Add Russian please

*2026-07-06*

Like the app but really want to use Russian for the voice function

### 5/5 — Simplify your Personal Knowledge Management System

*2026-06-14*

I have tried Evernote, OneNote, Bullet Journal and other tools to take and organize my notes and resources. Mem is the best and easiest tool I have tried. It automatically organizes and improves my notes increasing my ability and capture and retrieve key information and quickly prepare reports and agendas for meetings and follow up with people who report to me.

### 5/5 — Replacing My Evernote

*2026-04-18*

I love the voice note to formatted text feature. Mem is my partner in all productive things. I love that it auto categorizes, links to related notes, and has a ChatGPT feature within the app for ongoing research plus organization. I like it so much, I took a moment to write an app review. Not something I usually do. Try it out! It’s almost free when you use it as much as I do.

### 5/5 — Very impressed

*2026-03-01, version 2.6.3*

App works great, much better than I expected honestly! I don’t use it much to record myself talking but I’ve found myself constantly using it to record while I’m watching documentaries or educational videos, so I’m watching the video once but then I also have the structured notes the app has taken alongside! Works great!

### 5/5 — The Notes/“Brain Dump” App I Have Been Looking For!

*2026-02-27, version 2.6.3*

I have been trying for months to cobble together a “Jarvis” style AI-powered notes/personal assistant solution with little success. Finally, I asked ChatGPT what it would do if it were me, and it suggested Mem.ai. What a great suggestion that has been! I wear a lot of hats, attend a lot of meetings, manage multiple staff members, and end up with tons of unrelated action items each week. Mem helps me to keep it all straight, providing summaries for any context and constantly refreshing my to do list. I also love having a structured note ready to go for every calendar event! Two pleas to the developer: 1) please offer an annual subscription for easier reconciliation and 2) please develop an Android version of the app.

### 5/5 — Much Needed Tool

*2026-02-23*

Love this app. It’s smartly laid out and the features are excellent.
I’ve spent alot of time trying to get the same thing with other apps. They’ve done a marvelous job bringing something that could be super complex into a form that is at once beautifully simple but incredibly robust. Love this app as it is, and can’t wait to see it grow.

### 5/5 — Amazing, simply magnificent

*2026-02-02*

This is such an amazing app. I work in IT and juggle a lot of different information. Something I’ve struggled with is keeping up with notes and organizing things I learn. When time comes to find something I did or the answer to something I’ve worked on before I struggle. Not anymore this is an amazing app and I couldn’t be more excited. I’d gladly pay for double the price because that is how valuable this is. This really has boosted my productivity working on Mac and iOS. Reward yourself and watch the tutorial and try it out.

### 5/5 — Superlative❣️

*2025-12-28*

Thankful for all your time and all your efforts regarding our shared interest in MeM my favorite AI Partner ❣️

### 5/5 — Best memory app

*2025-11-10, version 2.5.9*

Mem has been my memory companion since around two years now and it’s getting better with each update
Especially since version 2.0 which is live since around a month, the app got really great and is an ultimately needed productivity tool
I write and import everything I need to know into them and can basically ask my brain
