Add the word you just met. Remember it a week later. Then duel a friend over it. Membra does not hand you someone else's word list. You add the word you heard in a show, read in a paper, or wrote down in class — and Membra brings it back on the day you were about to forget it. NO LIMITS ON LEARNING No energy. No hearts. No daily lesson cap. Add as many words as you like, review as long as you like, duel as often as you like. YOUR OWN DICTIONARY Type into two boxes. Membra works out which language you typed in, translates it, and files it on the correct side. Every language pair gets its own dictionary — your English one and your German one stay separate — and you move between them with a single gesture, the way you switch apps on your phone. SPACED REPETITION THAT ACTUALLY MEASURES YOU Membra never asks you to rate yourself. It watches how you answered: how long you took, whether you used a hint, how many wrong keys you pressed. The schedule is built from that, not from a button you pressed out of habit. Four review modes: flashcard, multiple choice, typing, and mixed. When nothing is due, free practice opens — and a correct answer in free practice will never distort your schedule. REAL-TIME WORD DUELS The thing nobody else in this category has: live 1v1 word duels. The attacker picks which word to send — but choose something too easy and a fast answer comes straight back at you. It runs until one tower falls. No opponent around? Eleven training opponents are waiting, each with its own accuracy, its own reaction speed, and its own trash talk. When the match ends, you can pull any word from it straight into your dictionary. You can delete your account completely, at any time. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.4.3 — 2026-08-06 Every language pair now has its own dictionary — and one gesture moves you between them. • Dictionary deck: pull up from the tab bar to see your dictionaries as cards, tap one to open it. Swipe sideways to jump straight to the next. • Rebuilt duel arena: your record, your rank and your opponent on one screen. You can see which language you'll be matched in before you queue. • Training rewritten: all eleven opponents are now selectable, and match length scales with difficulty. • German interface added. • Quick match language pairing is now honest: the answer options are always in your native language. ### 1.4.2 — 2026-07-28 • Home screen reorganized. Your rank ring now sits top-left — see progress to the next rank at a glance and tap it for your profile. Streak, daily review and word of the day all fit on one screen. • Daily quests are back on the home screen. The card calls you when a reward is ready to claim. • Training is out in the open: the duel tab, and every opponent shows its word level and your score against it. • Simpler challenge screen, now with language selection (Turkish ⇄ English for now). • Clearer duel screen: the player row no longer gets cramped with a title or badge, whose turn it is reads instantly, and what the turtles say is shown in full. • Fixed a glitch where a short screen flashed after a correct defense; the correct answer now stays visible long enough to read. • Spell check when adding words: we flag words we can't find, suggest the right spelling and stop duplicates. Training opponents are now turtles with real personalities, and matches run 30% faster. The review system was rebuilt: intervals adapt to you and to each word, one wrong answer no longer wipes your progress, and learned words return for occasional refreshers. Plus a new free practice mode and notification fixes. ### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-26 • Gems — earn them from duels, reviews, quests and streaks. • Daily and weekly quests — three quests each day, plus a bonus for finishing them all. • Achievements — dozens to unlock, each earning you badges and titles. • Collection — equip frames, badges and titles. Your friends list, the leaderboard and the duel screen all show them. • Redesigned profile — framed avatar, level ring, badge shelf and gem balance in one place. Settings moved to their own screen. • Training matches — start a duel without waiting for an opponent. Training gives no trophies; it's for practice. • Player profiles — search for a friend, view their profile, challenge them when they're online. • Performance improvements and bug fixes. ### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-21 • New: XP & Rank system!
