### 3/5 — Needs update

*2024-12-11, version 1.5.7*

Was perfect but now it needs an update for pairing to complete correctly. Still connected for now, but barely. Will miss this app if it becomes outdated!

### 3/5 — App not functional

*2024-11-04, version 1.5.7*

App stopped being able to ping my memo box, consistently asked me to pair the memo box with the app again but fails every single time. I’m also unable to remove the memo box and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app which only left me unable to login, reset my password or anything else. I am extremely disappointed at the situation. TinyLogics please address these major bugs with the app asap. I've missed more med times since this started happening and I need my memo box and app to work.

I’m an original backer fof this product and I am most proud of being involved in that campaign and even if it was in a small way, of helping TinyLogics successfully fund this device and bring it to market. It was ahead of its time when it came out and there still isn’t anything that arrivals it as far as I’ve been able to find. I still use one of my several memo boxes every single day, which of course means I’m terribly disappointed to see that all of the products are listed as sold out and I take to mean that they are not being sold anymore.

### 3/5 — Could do with being able to add retroactively

*2021-02-01, version 1.5.6*

I downloaded this app to track when I take meds to make sure I don't skip a days dose or take double by mistake. Out of all I've seen its the simplest for this task. Except I can't seem to add retroactively. There's a date wheel when you add new record but if you try and change it, it just flips back to the current time.

Occasionally I forget to add a record of what I've taken and remember after midnight but I can't add that record. This forgetting may happen less the more I get used to using the app when I take them, but I don't see the point of the wheel of you can't actually select the date you want for the record.

Can i be the only one having this issue?

### 3/5 — Works fine but no way to turn off alarm

*2020-12-26, version 1.5.6*

Alarm goes off and no way on home screen to turn it off or ask for extra time unless app is actively open. Would be great to include this - even better if it would work with Apple Watch.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t connect to memo box

*2020-03-05, version 1.5.6*

Sad

### 4/5 — So close!

*2019-06-16, version 1.5.6*

Love some features of this app. Having the photo of each item is an advantage over similar apps available. A count/refill option is also an edge over similar apps. A five star would make allowances to change the time a given pill was taken or skip one or several in a group on any given day. On occasion, when I do not check a pill until the next day (sometimes I recall checking it, but has somehow “not taken”), it automatically shows it as taken on the wrong day and time, as it automatically enters the time one makes the entry. The only other option left is to mark it as not taken. Either option is wrong and therefore creates a totally misleading and useless record.

Please allow time edit and individual “skipped” options for individual pills scheduled to be taken at the same time for a 5-star rating. It’s otherwise a fab app. Thank you!

### 3/5 — Sounds are annoying

*2019-05-23, version 1.5.6*

It would be really great if we could change the notification sound

### 4/5 — Health Memo

*2018-12-16, version 1.5.6*

Very useful app reminds me when my next medication is due and keeps a record

### 4/5 — Working Until Recently

*2018-10-24, version 1.5.2*

Hey Guys! Love the App & Pill boxes! Not sure “What” is happening, BUT the App Disappears Now when you try to Open it, it Opens then Goes Away!??? Please Fix, kind of annoying getting Reminders & Not being able to Stop them, because App Shuts Down! Thanks!!

### 2/5 — Great Concept but...

*2018-06-09, version 1.4.3*

It is showing that I missed pills even though I took them and when I try to correct it the time I correct is recorded as the time I took my pills.

The day before yesterday I opened the box one minute before the alarm went off to take my meds, and it did not record my meds. Instead, it recorded I opened the box. Last night I took my meds on time, but a few minutes ago I see a message stating a missed alarm, so I go in to correct it, but the suggested time was incorrect. There are no options for the time, so I clicked on none. It recorded I took my meds a few minutes ago.

### 3/5 — Its a start...

*2018-05-13, version 1.4.3*

I rarely write reviews, but this product has such potential, it could be life-changing for many chronic illness sufferers.

The idea is amazing and the app is fairly easy to use, BUT there are no finer settings in the app than off or on for notifications. I am not a transplant patient, my pills need to be taken *around* a certain time, not at exactly 9 am. I need the ability to change the notification to beep once or twice every 15 min and then possibly ramp up notifications as time goes on. Instead, after a bad night's sleep, i get woken up by my pill box practically screaming at me. And since you cannot have the pillbox notify you by itself, you have both your phone and your pillbox screaming until you open your pillbox AND turn off the phone notification. Its ridiculous and incredibly stressful. I had to turn off the pillbox notifications, which was actually the primary reason i bought the device.

Also, if i open the box out of sync with my med timetable, the event is simply listed as memobox opened. I wish i could set a *why* in there so i could look back and see if i took a med early or simply refilled the box. This would be such an easy but helpful feature and without it, you just have a lot of data points that mean very little.

Third thought, and this is more for the developers, but i would love to buy a second box for my pain pills. When my pain rises, my brain becomes foggy and remembering if/when i had a pain pill is difficult. A simple usage model would be that in the app i set up what pills are in the box and the frequency i am supposed to have them (for example: oxycodone, 1x every 12 hours). Then the box waits passively until i have one, sets a timer and double-beeps if i open the box to take one too early. If then inside the app i could tidy up the event notifications so i can erase events where i opened but heard the double-beep and didn't take it, i would have a great track of my pain patterns and the frequency i really need my pain pills. If i could export that data then i could map out time of day i typically hurt, etc. it would be invaluable for both me and my doctors.

Anyway, for those of you trying to decide about the app and box, i would say on a basic level it still meets your needs. Now what i want to see is memobox to exceed them!

### 2/5 — Good concept but needs refinement

*2018-04-25, version 1.4.3*

This box + app had the following issues:
1. There is a clock issue. Time the box is opened is sometimes of by a few minutes.
2. The app does not record if you opened the box and took medication early.
3. Alarm on box sometimes continues to go off after meds are taken and recorded in app.
In other words the seems to be a major sync issue between box n app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Let down

*2025-06-07, version 1.5.7*

No longer works/shut down

### 1/5 — Problem registering

*2025-04-21, version 1.5.7*

It won’t let me set up account. Tells me it failed and to check network settings.

### 1/5 — Wow. Cannot find my brand new pillbox.

*2023-08-10*

Pretty buggy app. It could not find my new pillbox even though it was sitting right next to the phone. I tried pushing the button on the pillbox, tried holding it to see if a combination would set the box to “searchable.” Nothing.

Also when I tried to seek “more information” in the app, it kept giving me “no data returned” errors.

### 1/5 — Memo health

*2019-12-01, version 1.5.6*

Unable to sign up despite repeated attempts and checking network settings as advised!

### 1/5 — Was great, now crashes

*2019-09-15, version 1.5.6*

I love the product, although as another user stated, it has it quirks. But now the app closes right after opening it. One of my boxes is t beeping so I was trying to check on the battery for the boxes but the app closes directly after opening it. I was going to delete the app and reinstall it, but then all of my data and pull setup will disappear. PLEASE FIX.

### 1/5 — Crashing!

*2019-03-12, version 1.5.6*

App keeps crashing. Installed the app on my iPad and also crashes upon opening. So frustrating.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2019-02-20*

This app won't stop glitching 🙄 Can't get anywhere and it's making me extremely grumpy.

### 1/5 — Not optimized for iPhone X

*2018-01-22, version 1.4.2*

Not optimized for iPhone X

### 2/5 — device doesn't pair after most recent iOS update

*2024-09-14, version 1.5.7*

i recently updated my iphone's operating system to 17.6.1 and my memobox mini unpaired - it's unsuccessful when i attempt to force pair it, or even remove it - also, the feedback page in the app is broken - i am sad because i've been a user for 7 years and it has been the major reason i've been compliant with my meds - i hope someone reads this and fixes the issues, though i'm not hopeful since the app hasn't been updated in 2 years per the app store

### 2/5 — Frequency limits

*2023-11-27, version 1.5.7*

Would be much better if I could change frequencies of meds for instance if I only need a med every 3 days not every day or if I only need to start the med in 4 days not right away. Otherwise very helpful

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thanks Memo Health

*2024-02-21, version 1.5.7*

Memo Health has been fundamental for my medicine compliance. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Updating to 5 stars

*2023-08-23, version 1.5.7*

So I originally mark this as one star because I had some problems, configuring the app and getting it to recognize my pillbox originally. Now that I figured that out, which took maybe 15 minutes, this app and pillbox have been one of the best additions to my life and health in recent memory. I seriously think this system is going to add years to my life. Before, I for the life of me, could not remember to take my medication, even with alarms on my phone, and in various rooms going off. I don’t know why, but I would either hit snooze or not take the meds when I was supposed to. But with this pillbox, and the smart design I have not missed a day in weeks which is a complete shift in my habits. Thank you to the engineers and designers who made this possible. Very likely saving my life.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly

*2023-05-17*

Simple to set up. Reminds me when I need to take a pill and helps me double check if I actually took it. Effortless!

### 5/5 — Mini Memo Pill Box

*2021-01-17, version 1.5.6*

I am a DAV, and found this small item is great for keeping me on time with the minimum amount of pain meds. I don’t miss my prescribed dose, thus reducing pain, and making a double dose finally unnecessary to reduce pain. Many thanks.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-12-11, version 1.5.6*

The device actually helps me alarms on time to get my meds

### 5/5 — Memo box simple sleek and discreet!! oh, and it clever too!!

*2019-12-08, version 1.5.6*

It does what it says on the box it’s simple sleek and discreet oh!! And it’s very clever!! too not just because it remembers what I invariably forget but it’s cleverly designed too it’s kept very simple so nothing to complicate lives routines I just pop my box open on it’s reminder and swallow the pill and close it again it keeps track of that so I know where am at but it’s small design is clever too I don’t have to carry around what I don’t need I can have a day’s or even 3day’s max and nobody notices making it easier to just take my pill without having the hassle of all the questions

### 5/5 — Great Pillbox!

*2018-10-24, version 1.5.2*

Sure, it has it’s quirks. Sometimes it annoys me. But at the end of the day, it gets me to take my medication, and I’m grateful for that!

### 5/5 — Please add activation based alarms

*2017-05-13, version 1.4.2*

Please add a feature that will start a timer once the box is opened. 4 hours after I take the first pill of the day, I need a reminder, but the first time I take it always varies. I'd love it to automatically start a timer once it's opened/closed at the beginning of the day.

### 5/5 — I love this app and the Pillbox!

*2017-05-12, version 1.4.2*

I am so happy I found this little gadget on kickstarter! I take anti-depressant and anxiety medication, which I must take daily, and I always forget. I can set an alarm on my phone, but that isn't any help if I just shut the alarm off and don't grab the pill bottle. With this device, I have to physically open the box before it will stop beeping. I love it so much and I feel so happy about it!! I also love that I can put a location on there so I won't forget it at home!

### 5/5 — Does not take DST into account

*2017-03-12, version 1.3.2*

Good app but one serious flaw. Your scheduling is not adjusted for DST. This is very problematic and basic.
