## What is Memolinx?

Memolinx is a new kind of memory app — capture your photos and videos, organize them by place, time, and the people you were with, and relive them on a living map and timeline. Keep memories private, share them with the people who were there, or make them public.

Capture a moment the instant it happens and Memolinx tags it with where and when it took place, then drops it onto a beautiful map and timeline you can revisit any time. Instead of losing your best moments in an endless camera roll, you relive them by place and by date — and share the ones you want with the people who were there.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Create memories with photos, videos, and notes — keep them private, share with followers, or make them public
• See everywhere you've been on an interactive map, and scroll a timeline that ties places, dates, and events together
• Group related moments into events and trips — a whole journey told as one story
• Follow friends and family, react with likes and comments, and share memories publicly or with just the people you choose
• Message the people you share moments with — chats are automatically enriched with the relevant memories and events you're discussing
• Search Memolinx, a built-in AI for your memories: ask by voice or text about where you've been, when something happened, or what you did — across your private, shared, and public memories

Memolinx brings your memories, your people, and an AI that truly understands your history into one place. Whether it's a trip, a celebration, or an ordinary day worth keeping, it helps you remember not just what happened — but where, when, and with whom.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.15.0 — 2026-08-18

Choose what you're notified about

Notification settings are rebuilt around seven clear categories — new memories, likes, comments and mentions, messages, requests, events, and your weekly recap. Each can be switched off, kept inside the app only, or narrowed to just the things that mention you.

Mute without unfollowing

You can now mute a person, a trip or a conversation from its own screen. Muted things still appear in your notifications; they simply stop reaching your lock screen. Unmute whenever you like.

Notifications in your language

Notifications are now written in the language you use the app in, rather than always in English. Notifications you received before this update stay as they were.

### 0.14.0 — 2026-08-15

Voice messages: tap, don't hold

Tap the microphone to start recording — there's no need to hold it down. While you're recording you'll see the elapsed time and a live level meter, and you can send the message or throw it away with a single tap.

Your timeline keeps itself up to date

Leave the app open and new memories from the people you follow now appear on their own. Previously the timeline could sit unchanged until you closed the app and opened it again.

Refresh the map from the timeline

On the map, drag the timeline slider on the right-hand edge up past your newest memory to refresh. The list keeps its usual pull-to-refresh.

### 0.13.8 — 2026-08-14

Deleted memories stay deleted

If you deleted a memory, it could linger as a blank card on your map or timeline, sometimes surviving a restart. It now disappears everywhere, straight away.

A cleaner photo

A memory with no title and no description showed a small grey mark in the corner of its picture. The picture is now left alone.

Memories shared in an event's chat

Open a memory someone shared in an event's conversation and the map and timeline behind it now show that event, so you arrive in the middle of the day it belongs to instead of the whole archive. Dismiss the event and everything returns to normal.

### 0.13.7 — 2026-08-13

Your language, properly
Seven languages have been available since the last update, but a lot of the app was still showing English — most of it already translated and simply not being read. This release fixes that.

Search Memolinx in your language
The AI screen kept its title, its example questions and its input box in English no matter what language you used. It now speaks the language the rest of the app does.

Counts read correctly
"1 memory" and "2 memories" now use each language's own grammar rather than English's, which matters most in Arabic and Japanese.

Times follow your region
Quiet hours use your locale's clock — a 24-hour clock where that is the norm.

Event and memory details, filters and your profile
Section headings, field labels, the filter sheet and the action rail are all translated now.

### 0.13.3 — 2026-08-04

• Sharing photos is sturdier — large batches import reliably (including photos still in iCloud), with clear notices instead of a stuck spinner if something can't be read.
• New audience controls — set who can see a post right from Quick Post, tap the audience badge on your own memory to change it, and filter the feed to just "My posts."
• The viewer keeps your controls hidden as you swipe from memory to memory.
• The Filters sheet now opens sized to show every option, plus polish across creating and sharing.
