### 4/5 — Keyboard issues

*2026-07-09, version 5.9.10*

I love this app but there are some issues that really annoy me. For example the keyboard:

Every time you write or edit a memorisation the keyboard blocks your view so you have to guess where and what you are writing. This makes working on this app unbearable, slow and frustratingly painful…

Apart from some issues, it is defined an amazing app, useful for everyone!

### 4/5 — Love it

*2026-05-07, version 5.9.4*

I was looking for an app to help me memorize because memorizing helps the brain’s long term memory and because I wanted my mind full of things that help me be a better person. I’ve been using it off and on for over a year and actively (almost daily) for the past 6 months and love it. I personally use it for mostly scripture, hymns, and religious texts but it’s very adaptable. The games are ideal for memorization and very much what I used to do without an app but so made so much easier with an app. Also, Craig responds to feedback quickly and fixes every bug I’ve sent his way quickly as well while also adding features and enhancements. Does a great job.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-04-26, version 5.9.3*

I love this app!

### 5/5 — Nice so far

*2026-04-04, version 5.9.0*

Maybe the developers can add a way to organize texts into folders and subfolders. Nice app!

### 4/5 — If the text could go to a smaller font id be completely satisfied.

*2026-02-17, version 5.7.0*

Good app

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-02-15, version 5.7.0*

THIS APP HAS HELPED ME SO MUCH I ACTUALLY LOVE IT (apologies for the caps but it was needed for the great quality of the app) I NEEDED TO LEARN A REALLY LONG PIECE OF SCRIPT AND IM ALMOST THERE AFTER 1/2 AND HOUR!!

### 5/5 — The best memorization app!

*2026-02-14, version 5.7.0*

Memorize by Heart is by far the best memorization app I have ever used. I really appreciate features such as sliders, multiple choice, scramble, 1st letter, tap to reveal and chunking that all contribute to faster memorization. It actually makes memorizing fun!

I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Great Memorization App

*2026-01-25, version 5.6.0*

Heck, for $25 lifetime. Can’t beat it, and it’s cloud and both iOS and OS. This is great!

### 5/5 — HSC year

*2026-01-20, version 5.6.0*

Last minute life saver and even better when you use good time management

### 5/5 — THE BEST!

*2026-01-18, version 5.5.6*

I am using this app to memorize my pitches and it has helped me so much in such a short amount of time .

### 3/5 — Why Did Costs Go Up?

*2026-01-07, version 5.5.6*

I used to be able to chunk my lines. Whenever I had to play other characters in the past such as: Ursula, studying my lines in chunks was really beneficial! Now, I play Dorothy and I cannot study my lines in chunks because of the need for a premium subscription. I am not paying for a premium subscription. I should be allowed one more privilege on here than just to use it. I just shake my head at the fact I have to pay for it. I ask that you reconsider and let us have one more privilege.

### 5/5 — Useful for actors

*2025-12-29, version 5.5.4*

I’m in acting school and this has been the best tool i’ve found to quickly learn large chunks of text without losing my mind in the process or getting trapped in the same cadence/line readings. It also helps me stay word-perfect rather than paraphrasing my lines, which is really important to me. I don’t use all of the features, mostly only the typing the first letter exercises, but I appreciate the many options. I also find that I don’t have to speak out loud to start memorizing when i use this app, which is helpful for a busy person who can’t always be reading lines loudly in public (though eventually I need to practice that way to get fully off-book).

If you’re an actor who struggles with the starting stages of memorization, I would recommend this app as a jumping off point. The free version is useful but the premium also won’t break the bank and makes it much easier to scan text directly.

### 2/5 — Some features don’t work

*2025-11-26, version 5.5.3*

I used the free version for a while to memorize monologues and it did help, but twice now the app has deleted all of my texts! The reciting recording feature doesn’t work either.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mad I spent the money for premium

*2026-07-27, version 5.9.10*

I don’t want to be that person but it’s annoying to pay for this app, attempt to upload a script in various ways and for none of those ways to work.

### 1/5 — Update makes it unusu

*2026-06-10, version 5.9.10*

Loved the app but now every time I open it, a message appears and says it needs to update and then the wheel death appears and won’t go away.

### 1/5 — Premium Only???

*2026-04-03, version 5.9.0*

I wanted to try the non-premium version… But it won’t let me! I’ve copied and pasted two separate texts, and my keyboard won’t go away! And every time I try and get it to go away, it offers me premium again. No thank you!

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2026-02-11, version 5.7.0*

Worst app ever. I downloaded this so I could memorize lines in a play. I have lots of lines. I’m not paying money every month to use a camera. I don’t like plays I got forced into this and it’s too late to drop out. Make it free to use a camera. Not everyone has money

### 1/5 — No customer support

*2026-02-08, version 5.7.0*

I have emailed the developer with a question about a key feature of the program called “chunking” but I have not received any response

### 1/5 — Why don’t you list the app as paid already?

*2026-01-14, version 5.5.6*

In order to access its feature, payment is required. No thanks.

### 1/5 — New Update ruined desktop

*2025-12-08, version 5.5.4*

The new update has ruined the desktop application and made it insufferable.

Originally, when choosing what to memorise, it would give you a simple box to select everything, or select individual lines.

That’s now behind a paywall, and the option to quickly and easily select everything is gone. Which means now in order to select a specific line, you have to manually deselect every single other line first. You have to do this every time you want to learn a line.

Its ruined this website for me.

### 1/5 — App completely deleted in middle of my memorization and Zero tech support available

*2025-10-24, version 5.5.0*

This app was great until it wasn’t
No tech support
I paid for premium subscription and when it completely deleted all my memorizations and I could not get a hold of anyone and still am unable to use it in the capacity I paid for even after deleted and redownloading and offering to pay again after it faulted. it still doesn’t work or acknowledge my account or money or premium subscription saying someone else has it
WHO could have it when it’s my account ? I wrote to customer service with no response…. Such a bummer honestly

### 1/5 — Bug prevents scrolling down to “Save” button

*2025-09-12, version 5.4.1*

Downloaded the app on my iPhone and within a minute encountered a bug that rendered the app useless.

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2025-07-02, version 5.4.1*

I HATE IT SO MUCH. GO DIE!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thank you Memorize by Heart

*2026-09-03, version 6.0.2*

I’ve heard Memorize by Heart on my computer for years and I’ve been away for a while using paper and pencil. When I came back to see the app had been updated and is easier for me to use I am motivated and grateful to utilize Memorize by Heart to help me memorize my script, patter and bible verses. Thank you!

### 5/5 — New update is brilliant

*2026-08-29, version 6.0.2*

Just love it

### 5/5 — cool app

*2026-08-06, version 5.9.10*

I want the option of typing everything not just first letter

### 5/5 — Free version actually usable

*2026-07-17, version 5.9.10*

I love that this is an app where the free version is still usable by itself and not just a teaser to make you pay for the actual product. The paid version contains features which would be convenient to have, but I can still use the free version just fine. :)

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2026-07-01, version 5.9.10*

I’ve been using Memorize by Heart every day for several weeks, and it has genuinely transformed the way I memorise information.

I use it to learn long pieces of text for Freemasonry, and it’s helped me memorise material far more quickly and confidently than any other method I’ve tried. The variety of learning modes keeps the process engaging, and the structured approach really helps the words stick.

I’m also known for thoroughly testing software, and during my use I uncovered a few obscure bugs. What impressed me most wasn’t that the bugs existed—every app has them—but how the founders responded. They were incredibly responsive, kept me informed throughout, and worked tirelessly to investigate and fix every issue I reported. It’s refreshing to see developers who genuinely listen to feedback and are so committed to continually improving their product.

If you’re looking for an app to memorise speeches, presentations, scripts, exam material, or any other substantial body of text, I can’t recommend Memorize by Heart highly enough. It’s an excellent app backed by developers who clearly care about both the product and their users.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-07-01, version 5.9.10*

Love the layout of this and it’s helped me memorize a bunch of new things! I use it everyday!

### 5/5 — Best memorize app!

*2026-07-01, version 5.9.10*

I’ve tried a lot of memorization apps, and this is easily one of the best. The AI voices sound incredibly smooth and natural, so practicing doesn’t feel robotic or repetitive. Being able to hear the material read back clearly has made memorizing much faster and more enjoyable.

One of my favorite features is the progress tracking. It’s motivating to actually see how much you’re improving over time instead of just guessing whether you’re getting better. Watching your progress build keeps you consistent and makes it easier to stay committed.

The app is simple to use, reliable, and genuinely effective. Whether you’re memorizing scriptures, speeches, presentations, or anything else, this app provides the tools you need without making the experience complicated. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to memorize more efficiently.

### 5/5 — No issue apart from online and offline which is minor

*2026-06-10, version 5.9.10*

It’s been good and very helpful

### 5/5 — La mejor!!

*2026-05-25, version 5.9.5*

### 5/5 — Great app for memorizing mantras and etc

*2026-05-12, version 5.9.4*

Great app for remembering my mantras on life and practicing memorizing things I’m learning.

They also have very responsive developers. Great app and great app owners
