## What is Memory Nook?

Memory Nook is a lo-fi ambient room for quiet moments.

A small window-side room lives on your phone. Light, sky, and weather shift with the hour—from soft morning glow to rainy nights and quiet snow. A quiet resident lives here too: never hungry, never demanding, just present. Open the app, listen, and stay a while. Zero effort required.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND

• A living room that changes on its own
Morning, evening, and night lighting. Clear skies, rain, and snow. When you allow location, the weather outside the window can follow conditions near you (via Apple WeatherKit). If you decline, a gentle simulated cycle keeps the room alive.

• A quiet resident
Someone small walks, rests, and looks toward the lamp or window. No pets to feed. No missions. Attachment comes from watching, not from being asked.

• Listen Mode & soundscapes
Fade the UI and stay with the room. Soft ambient loops—Auto, Morning Air, Warm Glow, Night Drift, Soft Focus—plus rain when the sky calls for it. Mix loop and rain levels to your taste.

• Built for long, calm sessions
Comfort display options help balance smoothness and heat. Landscape and portrait both work. No account. No ads. No tracking.

Memory Nook is not a diary, a pet game, or a music library. It is a personal lo-fi space you can return to every day—simply because the air feels different than yesterday.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-20

Window light now stops at the sash instead of washing the floor. With Reduce Motion on, rain, dust, and night lights stay where they belong.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-17

The window-side room has been rebuilt. A wider sash, a library desk, and the same quiet resident.

### 0.1.7 — 2026-08-12

The room follows the seasons now, and snow falls when the forecast calls for it. The resident is easier to see after dark.

### 0.1.6 — 2026-08-08

The room has filled in a little. A small shelf sits on the wall with a vase and a dish, and notes and an ink bottle have been left on the desk.
The resident settles better too—they rest on open floor now, instead of crowding the radio or the plant.
Plus steadier lamplight when Reduce Motion is on, and a handful of quiet fixes.

### 0.1.5 — 2026-08-06

The resident feels a little more present now. Once in a while they look up toward you, they rest facing the room, and the view drifts along when they wander toward the edge of the frame.
The turntable is reachable too—with Listen Mode on, you can hear it faintly from across the room.
Plus cooler running during long sessions, and a handful of quiet fixes.
