## What is Memport?

Snapchat is deleting Memories over 5GB. Save yours before they're gone forever.

Memport gets every Snapchat Memory out and into your own Photos with correct dates, locations, and even your edits intact. No monthly fees. One purchase, keep forever.

WHY MEMPORT
• Real dates & real places. Every memory lands with its original date and location restored, not today's timestamp.
• Your own album. Everything arrives in a dedicated Memport album, separate from the rest of your camera roll.
• Clean or captioned, your call. Save the bare photo or keep the Snapchat caption, stickers, and drawings, per memory.
• You never lose your place. Step away mid-import and pick up exactly where you left off: 50,000+ memories, no limits.
• Works completely offline. Your memories are processed on your iPhone and saved straight to your Photos.

HOW IT WORKS
1. We guide you through requesting your Memories from Snapchat, step by step.
2. Snapchat emails you the files (usually a few hours).
3. Drop them into Memport, all of them, and we handle the rest.

ONE-TIME PAYMENT
Pay once. Own forever. No monthly subscription.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
Save your first 100 memories free to test it out, then one purchase unlocks the rest.

No subscription. No account. Your photos and videos never leave your device.

Memport is an independent app not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Snap Inc. or Snapchat.

### 5/5 — Worked as intended

*2026-05-15*

Very convenient app with the recent Snapchat changes, the app makes it a very easy process and brings you through it step by step. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, there was a one time payment of $9.99 to have unlimited transfers as the limit was 300 for free which is still nice. Only “nuisance” is you need to leave the app open during the transfer which can take a while especially with a lot of videos and if you get out of the app or if your phone locks it will pause the transfer. I had to change my phones setting to never lock as it kept pausing, so I would recommend doing that and just leaving your phone on overnight if you are doing a large transfer.

**Developer response:** Thank you, this is a genuinely helpful review. You're spot on: keeping the phone awake during a big transfer is the trick, and we're working to make that smoother so you don't have to change your settings. Glad the step-by-step flow worked for you! – Dave, Memport Support

### 1/5 — dosent work

*2026-03-02, version 2.0.9*

every time i press import it shuts down the app and nothing happens

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-02-28, version 2.0.9*

I paid for the subscription, but now it won’t show up after updating my iPhone. When I click restore purchase it doesn’t restore.

### 5/5 — Good once I got figured out bug

*2026-02-12*

There is currently a bug where if you do not allow “full access” to photos, the download will never start. After I switched the permission to this, it worked very well. I downloaded 1447 out of 1448 memories. One photo had an error for some reason. But otherwise very good and convenient, worth the $5 for me!

**Developer response:** Thank you, and thank you double for documenting the Photos Full Access bug, you're exactly right, and we're making the app guide people to that setting so nobody else gets stuck. 1,447 of 1,448 is a great haul! – Dave, Memport Support

### 1/5 — App crashes and unable to contact support

*2026-02-11*

App would crash as soon as zip file is selected. Attempted to contact the developer and the submit button doesn’t function.

### 3/5 — Need to fix import photos.

*2026-01-27*

Need to give more options to download photos again to other devices. It’s not giving me much options. I paid 5 dollars just to download once.

**Developer response:** Fair point. You're not limited to a single download, the app can re-run and continue saves, and Restore Purchase brings your unlock to a new device without paying again. If those options aren't showing for you, email support@memport.app and I'll walk you through getting your memories onto your other devices. – Dave, Memport Support

### 4/5 — it’s great! just one major issue (for me)

*2026-01-17*

i managed to download almost all of my memories that were able to be downloaded since 2014! the only real issue i have is that my videos have their captions/locations/overlays completely upside down. it kinda messes w my brain but other than that one complaint, it’s wonderful. thank y’all !! :)

**Developer response:** Love that you got memories back to 2014! The upside-down video overlays are a real, known issue we're actively working on, so thank you for flagging it so clearly. If you email support@memport.app I'll let you know the moment that fix lands. Really glad the rest worked for you. – Dave, Memport Support

### 3/5 — Don't waste your money

*2026-01-09*

Didn't save the dates on the photos/videos

**Developer response:** Sorry the dates didn't carry over, that's the whole point of the app, so I completely get the frustration. Photo date handling has been overhauled since and memories now land on their real capture day. The current version is free to try again. If dates still come through wrong, email support@memport.app with an example and I'll fix it with you. – Dave, Memport Support

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-01-03, version 2.0.0*

I was looking for any information on how to move my memories to my phones camera roll and someone commented about this app in a video on tiktok. I paid $6.99 in app and my total of over 14k memories are in chronological order in my camera roll, worth it!!

### 4/5 — Thanks for helping save memories

*2026-01-03*

This app helped ~5 years of memories with snapchats new storage limit. Some of the memories that were saved with the captions were upside down, which was a bummer, but no big deal. Just glad to be able to save the memories and delete that stupid app finally. Thanks!

**Developer response:** Five years of memories saved, that's exactly what we're here for, thank you. The upside-down captions are a known issue we're working on, so you're not imagining it. Email support@memport.app if you'd like a heads-up when the fix ships. Glad you could finally leave that app behind! – Dave, Memport Support

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.3.0 — 2026-09-01

Picking the wrong Snapchat file no longer leads to a dead end.

- Added: if you pick the wrong download from Snapchat — the account-data file instead of your memories export — Memport now tells you the moment you pick it and shows you how to get the right one, instead of letting the import fail later.
- Minor fixes and improvements.

### 3.2.6 — 2026-08-30

Captions kept going missing, and there was nowhere to turn them back on.

- Fixed: with captions turned on, merged videos were saved without them. Memport now keeps the caption on every clip it saves.
- Added: a captions switch in Settings. Before this, the only place to turn captions on was a screen you never saw again once your photo access was set up, so if captions went off there was no way back.
- Fixed: if Memport said everything was already saved but the copies were gone from your Photos library, you were stuck on that screen. It now checks whether the copies are really there, and there is a "save again anyway" button either way.
- Fixed: the built-in sample memories can no longer be saved to your library or count against your free memories.
- Minor fixes and improvements.

### 3.2.5 — 2026-08-27

Some of your videos came out as a single colour, one second long. Your videos, not one second long.

- Fixed: with captions turned on, a saved video could come out as a solid block of colour and only about a second long instead of the real video. The caption layer was being baked in as if it were the whole video. Memport now keeps the video and only lays the caption on top, and when a caption file looks wrong it saves your video untouched instead of guessing.
- Your originals were never touched, only the copies Memport saved. To replace a bad copy: delete it in Photos, then run the save again. Or save it again with captions off and you get a clean video straight away.
- Minor fixes and improvements.

### 3.2.4 — 2026-08-24

If one part of your Snapchat export was damaged, Memport blamed the whole export. That was wrong, and it cost people hours.

- Fixed: picking all the parts of a big export could report "memories index missing" and refuse everything, even when the only real problem was a single part that had not downloaded properly. Memport now tells you exactly which file is damaged so you can re-download that one part instead of all of them.
- Fixed: adding more zips to an import that was no longer there could fail after about a second with a confusing error. Memport now works out which part holds your memories index and starts there.
- Fixed: the free-space check asked for far more room than an import actually needs, which could block large exports on devices that had plenty of space.
- Minor fixes and improvements.

### 3.2.3 — 2026-08-18

We turned some of your memories into modern art. That was not the plan.

- Fixed: with captions turned on, some saved photos came out as a solid block of colour instead of your photo. The caption layer was painting over the whole picture. It cannot do that any more. When a caption file looks wrong, Memport now saves your photo untouched instead of guessing.
- Your originals were never touched, only the copies Memport saved. To replace a bad copy: delete it in Photos, then run the save again. Or save it again with captions off and you get a clean photo straight away.
- Minor fixes and improvements.
