## What is Mentes Notes?

Mentes Notes is where your thinking lands. Open it and type — no folder to pick, no title to invent, no decision before the first word.

WRITE WITHOUT FRICTION
Every day gets a journal entry, created for you. Tap and start writing. Quick captures are for the thought you need out of your head right now, before it's gone. These are the only two places you write, and both open instantly.

LOCAL FIRST, ALWAYS FAST
Your writing is stored on your device first, so the app opens fast and stays responsive whether or not you have a signal. Nothing waits on the network. Sync to your Mentes account runs quietly in the background and keeps your devices current.

FIND ANYTHING
Full-text search runs on-device across journals, notes, and captures. Start typing and results appear — no waiting on a server.

A REAL EDITOR
Rich text with headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code blocks, and inline formatting. Autosave means there is no save button to remember — your work is written down as you pause.

JOURNALS THAT SETTLE
A journal entry seals a couple of days after the day it belongs to, so your record of a day stops drifting. If you need to add something later, Amend reopens it.

DESIGNED FOR YOU
- Light and dark themes
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Scroll and cursor position remembered per note
- Also available on Mac, Windows, and Linux

Mentes Notes works with a Mentes account (mentes.ai) for sync across your devices.
