Sync sometimes locks up and I expect it’s due to the large history I have. Would be nice to have a way to bulk delete records older than a specific date. ### 2/5 — Losing recipes *2025-03-22, version 4.0.8* I’ve been using this app for a long time, maybe 10 years or more, collecting my favourite recipes, taking photos of them etc. it has lots of really nice features and I use it to plan my menu each week. It has never synched that well between apps and web but recently, it has started losing my recipes so the name of the recipe is there but the photo and ingredients have been deleted. Very disappointing hence my rating. ### 3/5 — can’t share or print recipes *2025-03-14, version 4.0.8* option to print recipes does not work. On iPhone, it crashes. So I have to type the whole list of ingredients on the meal tab. In the latest app build on iOS 18.3, when using the print function the app crashes Unfortunately there is no actual customer help feature. When selecting “App Support” it only takes me to the Menu Planner website, where there is no “contact support” option. I am hoping that writing a review will get someone’s attention. ### 3/5 — Printing on iPad *2024-05-05, version 4.0.8* The app crashes every time I try to print. I do like having things stored in one place. ### 3/5 — Menu Planner *2024-04-22, version 4.0.8* Good app. Easy to use. Took me a few tries to learn how to sync recipes from other recipe cites. Love that you can add your own categories. Sometimes you may have to close the app, then re-open to get it to work correctly. I can’t print recipes from the Planner. I always did before yesterday! Now? NADA! ### 2/5 — Doesn’t sync *2024-02-02, version 4.0.8* I have used this app for years on my iPad as a recipe binder as the app imports recipes easily, and it’s a nice layout to search and view recipes. My biggest issue has always been that if your recipe is for multiple serves and you choose a different number of serves for the meal plan, the shopping list gives you the ingredients for the recipe, not for the serves chosen in the meal plan. It’s annoying, but I could work around that. I recently paid for the subscription so I could sync my recipes between my iPad and iPhone. Only the titles of the recipes sync to the website and my phone syncs what is on the website. No ingredients, no directions, no pics have synced. It is meant to be automatic syncing, yet I have to manually press sync, and I’ve left it open all night for many nights over multiple weeks and I still don’t have anything other than the titles synced. ### 2/5 — Syncing in the background? My emails thus far have failed to raise any sort of response from the developer. Not anymore. I’m done with the unresponsive support, the need to use one device to menu plan and another to store recipes and the lack of synching. I would not recommend this appto anyone serious about storing recipes electronically. I feel I have wasted a lot of time with this app. ### 1/5 — Site is unreliable, crashes and won’t open *2025-03-23, version 4.0.8* I have used this app for years. It appears it is no longer supported as I see no way to contact the developer and it hasn’t been updated in a while. Since my update to the latest version of iOS I can no longer print recipes, which is something I do regularly. There was no warning message that I would lose all of them, and no feature to retrieve the data either. I don't use any of the nutritional stuff as it is too complicated. I like this app because it is relatively easy to import recipes from the web, even if the website is not optimised, they just need a bit of tidying up. Friends have asked me to help them set it up, so we can now share recipes easily. I bought a protective cover from my ipad so that I can cook while using it with messy fingers. I could go online and easily import a full recipe with a simple click on the “import recipe” link. Now, all I get is the damned link and I have to cut/type/paste everything into the app - what’s the sense to that?
