## What is Menue?

Menue is the app for households who are tired of asking "what's for dinner?" every single night. Plan your meals for the week, turn that plan into a shopping list with one tap, and let everyone in the house work off the same list.

PLAN YOUR WEEK
Add recipes to breakfast, lunch or dinner slots. Servings scale automatically to your household size, and the whole week can go to a shopping list in one tap.

SHOP SMART
Shopping lists are grouped by store category, sorted to match how you actually walk through the store. Mark things you already have at home so you don't buy them twice, then tap items into your basket as you shop.

OVER 1000 ITEMS, ALREADY SORTED
No setup grind. More than a thousand common grocery items ship pre-sorted into categories like Produce, Dairy, Meat & Seafood and Pantry. Add your own once and Menue remembers the category for next time.

YOUR OWN COOKBOOK
Save your recipes with photos, mark favorites, rate what you've cooked, and search by name, ingredient or what's already in your kitchen.

MENUE PRO
Pro adds AI tools for people who cook a lot:
- Import any recipe from a web page, photo or pasted text, translated and converted to proper measurements automatically
- Ask the AI to edit a recipe: swap ingredients, change the method, scale it up or down
- Describe a meal and get a full recipe back ("a quick weeknight pasta with what's in my fridge")

One Pro subscription covers everyone in the household, with a free trial to try it first.

Rebuilt recipe instructions, with photos inside your steps.

Writing a recipe
- Every step is its own field. Tap the one you want and type.
- Put photos inside a step, between the lines of text. Show the fold, then the result.
- Formatting buttons now sit in the keyboard toolbar, where your thumbs already are.
- Add or delete a step from the rule between steps.
- Blank lines are free. Space out a long step without splitting it in two.

Cooking
- Step arrows in the toolbar move you through a recipe without scrolling.
- Tap a photo on any step to start cooking from there.
- Editing from cooking mode scrolls straight to the step you were on.

Importing and sharing
- Imported recipes keep their step layout and their illustrations.
- Shared recipes in Discover now render their steps properly instead of the raw text.

Other
- Item search stops caring about spacing and accents. "creme fraiche" finds "crème fraîche".
- Fixed a subscription that Apple confirmed a moment too late showing an error, even though it was already active.
- Menue tells you when the app is out of date.

Shopping
- The shopping home now shows what changed and when. Each list says how long ago you last touched it.
- New Tips & tricks section. Browse short guides for shopping, the cookbook, AI and the planner, with a new tip each day.
- Quick actions for adding a recipe, opening your items, and copying your household invite code.
- Your screen stays awake while a shopping list is open. No more unlocking the phone at every shelf.
- Sort your shopping log by most bought or most recent.

Importing recipes
- Fixed importing from TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. We now read the caption the way a phone browser does.
- Paste or attach a screenshot of a recipe post and we read the recipe from the image.
- Sharing a photo straight to Menue now works. Before, the photo was shown but never used.
- When a page will not load, you get a clear message and a way forward instead of an endless spinner.
- If a post lists ingredients but no method, we suggest a standard method and mark it for you to check.
- Fixed a save error on amounts written as a range, like "2-3".

Cookbook
- The cookbook log now shows everything: recipes you added, cooked, and planned.
- Fixed broken cover images. A missing photo now shows a placeholder and offers to generate one.
- Recipe thumbnails load again across the app.

Other
- Item search now matches single words, so "fresh pasta" finds "pasta".
- Fixed search mixing up similar words across languages.
- Settings shows the real app version.
