Little did I know that its USELESS without premium. Who wants to record their cats meow just to watch 4 ADS and then see that the translation is BLURRED so then you have to watch ANOTHER ad just to see what your cat said. And even after that whole process the translation was completely incorrect and made no sense with the situation. I bet if you pay 8$ A WEEK then the app might work and be useful. I do think this app is very interesting and would have loved to see a way to be able to talk to my cats. This looks really great though if you have premium and if you do get premium this is the app for you. But really, it’s over expensive and doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — This is useless without money *2024-08-23* This app tells you to pay for the translations, and you can watch the ad for the first one. But after that, it tells you to pay! 8 dollars a week is just not. worth. it. It does work pretty well, but it only works with money, and it tells you to pay 70 dollars a year. That might seem better than the 8 dollars a week one, but there is no guarantee that you will use this the whole year! It literally NEEDS you to pay so the text will be unblurred, and when I imitated a cat, it thought i was a cat. But the meaning did come pretty close because I imitated a cat angry sound and it said “I’m angry”, but chances are, it can’t really translate cats very well. Literally EVERYTHING needs premium. But if you do pay for it, it might work. ### 2/5 — Too many ads! *2024-07-24* It takes you minute and a half for the app to show you what your cat said because of the advertisements! And if you want to get the result instantly, you have to pay a $120 per year subscription for an app you probably won’t use. Sorry ### 2/5 — I didn't like this app *2024-03-08* I have 2 cats and I really wanted to know what they were saying soni downloaded the app. I downloaded it and if you don't sign in you can't do anything in the app!!! So I signed in and it was saying my email was Inncorect so I did my email again and it was still saying it was wrong. So I just gave up and deleted it. In my opinion it was a waste of time and not something to get my hopes up on. ### 1/5 — 3 ads to get a translation *2024-02-16* If you don’t get the paid version don’t bother with this app. It now makes me watch 60 seconds of ads to get 1 translation. Our free account allows translating 3 basic meow intents for free. If you got a Premium translation that is blurred, you can still unblur it for free. If you *hold* the button instead of tapping, it will redirect you to the premium screen as "Auto translate" is a premium feature. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work and full of foreign ads *2023-12-29* Have tried several times to translate. You have to watch ads after every translate, most of the times the ads are in foreign language (non-English for me). Even after watching the ad it freezes and doesn’t have a way to exit the ads so I have to restart it anyway. No way to go back to see history after restarting and it starts to translate after the first split of sound, even though the cat hasn’t finished meowing. No way would I pay for an upgrade when the basic doesn’t even work. **Developer response:** Hello, sorry you did not enjoy our app! You can translate meows for free with some limitations. As it is stated in our description, our free account allows translating 3 basic meow intents for free, while Premium translations are blurred and you can unblur them by watching an ad. I had a bunch of saved recordings and I really loved the app. Not because I thought I knew what my cat was saying, but because it was a cute idea for recordings. My cat passed away and I loved that I could go into the app and listen to them any time I needed to. It sounds so silly, but it was nice to hear the little meows that I miss so much. I went in the app today to listen again and in order to hear them, I now have to pay for the “premium version”. Never had to before, but all of a sudden now you do. All of my recordings are no longer available to hear because now the company wants me to PAY to hear them again. Storing the audio files and translations in the Cloud for years comes at a huge cost. Unfortunately, we had to make the translation history a Premium feature to cover the data storage costs and to be able to store these recordings instead of deleting them. Our best suggestion for users who may not afford a long-term subscription is to opt for a one-month Premium upgrade. This will allow you to unarchive your history and download audio files from the translation history to your device. I know they’re wrong because my cat was mad at me for trying to pick her up and she was giving me a paw punch warning - she meowed and the translater figured she said, “nice to see you!” There’s no way in heck she didn’t tell me to fslur myself. ### 1/5 — 👎👎👎 *2024-12-29* Horrible every single time I try to translate my cat with this app it shows an ad which does the opposite of Translate. It just scares her away and she runs away. I definitely do not like this app. I do not recommend unless you like useless apps that take up storage, plus you have to put in personal information so there’s probably a hacker. Shows you the retention they think theyll have you for. Milking you for every click and short time you use it. the accuracy of meows , based on free app, is definitely subjective. Id say my cat isnt saying “ i love you” when he is whinning for his food. i mainly did it during is food time, to get predictive results. It did translate a “ hey” which i can give credit for, but bc of the inaccuracy the rest of the results. theres no base line of what is actually correct or what you presume is correct based on your own context and understanding. For the pricing that is that steep, i can honestly guess equally the same what my cat is saying when he is meowing to be fed and its definitely not “ i love you”. This is very novel. i wish they would change the pricing or at least make the free version not require you to watch an ad for every translation. The company , imo, should at the very least collect more meows and have a way for us to tell the scenario it was said and collect data that way. Instead of this ad wall and ridiculous pricing plan, that discourage usage. More people using it, more samples to collect. otherwise meows are just meows. I really want to communicate w/ my cat, she’s a horned angel, for cat lovers out there, you know what I mean. I just don’t want to spend a lot of money on this! I think that if this app had less things that you had to pay for and more things that came w/ when you get the app, and less stuff that you have to pay for, because then premium things seem like less of a privilege and more of an annoyance, then people will just want to delete it. But then, my current husband told me about this app, and how you could speak with your cat. I decided to check it out. The first time I used it, surprisingly, it was extremely accurate! Junior had told me that he wasn’t feeling the best he could, so I took him to the vet, and low and behold, he was sick! Ever since then, I have used this app to discover more about Junior and how he is feeling. He has told me many funny and interesting things. Like how he is in love with my neighbors cat, Becky. And how he plans world domination. Haha! What big dreams of his! I will continue to use this app to communicate with Junior and any future cats I will adopt. Sometimes it doesn’t translate everything my cat is saying but my cat is unique:-) I left him alone to chill on the patio but when got back the app translated his meowing as “ Don’t forget about me. However, the tones and talking were both so usual I had to download this app. After translating his meows, I feel so relieved that nearly all of his meows are positive.
