## What is MERAN?

Welcome to 'MERAN'. The 'MERAN' app lets you(Flynas check airmen) to do the flight training evaluation of the trainees assigned to him/her. Also, it will allow you to check your training status, view the library, view the performance reports of the trainees. The application is part of main training management system project, which has a main web application and an iPad application, 'MERAN'.
 
Creating a member profile is not allowed from the app, it has to be done from the main web application.
 
·         Notification: list all the notifications to the logged in user

·         Sync: When logged in as a user, the first thing to do is to sync the user data available on the iPad with the user data available in the database. Use the 'Sync' menu to do the same.

·         Library: The library module will have all the library files. When the library menu is selected, 'Download Files' dialog will be loaded and it shows any new files in the library.

·         My Training: It will list all the training schedule assigned as a trainee for the logged in user.

·         Check Airman: It will list all the training schedule assigned as a Check Airman/Instructor for the logged in user

·         Notepad: Notepad is just an option to save the notes

The app is available only in English.

Check form evaluations are modified as per the latest regulations in IATA(International Air Transport Association) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

In this version of MERAN, the flight deck crew check forms for Line Check, Operational Experience(OE), Qualifications etc are modified so as to comply with IOSA regulation.

There are mandatory remarks specific to each check items rated either below average or poor. The Measuring items rated negative alone will be listed under Briefing & Debriefing section to add remarks against each negative rating respectively. Also, before an instructor submits the form, a preview of the overall form along with the ratings, final grade for the check pilot are shown to the instructor. Instructor once submit the form, can preview the summary check form as a report.

There are remarks specific to each check items, also strengths and weaknesses and overall recommendations etc are made as predefined set of values than free inputs from check pilots.
 
Flight number will be removed from the check forms being the confidential data. However the historical data like flying hours, number of sectors covered by the trainee pilot etc will be displayed for setting the context very well for the check pilot.
