Sometimes it does the things it should, very often it doesn’t and takes multiple attempts. To the point of being down right annoying. The digital key, via phone is a disaster. ### 4/5 — Good app, works consistently *2026-08-03, version 1.68.0* Great app for the Mercedes cars. I love how it prompts you with a notification if you’ve left your car unlocked accidentally. Has significantly reduced my anxiety of “have I locked the car”. I just wish that the auto start feature would: 1. Allow me to also set the inside climate control temp 2. Turn on heated seats 3. Not turn off when I come to the car and open the door. The fact that it turns off and I have to restart it, kind of detracts a bit from the wow factor of having had the car remote start. However, share drive with Mercedes only works for google maps. There are still interfacing issues with electricity retailer Origin Energy. ### 3/5 — Ford vs Merc *2026-06-10, version 1.67.0* So this review is based on fords app and its connectivity to its ford transit I also use. For a premium car with an app I’m disappointed its schedule charging is super clunky and unreliable even when using a Merc charger. The ability to have start stop charging button that doesn’t disconnect the lead when outside schedule period is disappointing which ford has. Also doesn’t have power consumption used from grid so it’s impossible to gauge what you’ve used to compensate a mate if your plugged in. Ford has this and is very helpful with paying staff for their power use. Disappointed you can’t see footage from dash cam or 360 cameras. For a 200 k car I’d expect better when a 60 k van and app does it way better ### 4/5 — Merc App *2026-06-05, version 1.66.0* Overall a decent app 3 good features you can change the charge % on the app . Then after three years they took away my access to the App before I could reactivate the key. I don’t want to pay $50 a month for the full App (I have the basic one for $9) and all I want is for MB to contact me and reactivate my key and they haven’t. Basic functions like keyless entry aren’t there and, everything is slow and unresponsive. ### 1/5 — Remote *2026-07-19, version 1.68.0* The remote on the apps did not working properly ### 1/5 — Mbux flaws *2026-07-04, version 1.67.0* Bluetooth phone connectivity works terribly for 2 drivers. Preferences are never saved and the 2nd phone consistently connects when it shouldn’t. Comfort settings like easy entry settings reset to default after a week or so. The mobile key functionality isn’t available in australia either so the only way to have a backup key is by deactivating the spare key and leaving it in the glovebox. Mbux is one of the poorer infotainment systems for a luxury car. ### 1/5 — Azam *2026-06-06, version 1.66.0* We are in 2026 and still no start and stop charging function in the app. Have to buy a smart charger for that.
