On my way to creating another punch fountain and I shut the app and came back about an hour and a half later and all of my progress had been deleted. In fact I had merged a punch bowl. That was one of those ones that you start off with on the board that you have to grab another of the same item and merge it to release it and that’s how I got the punch fountain and currently that Punchbowl is now the way it was when the board was brand new. It’s like this game eats your progress so you can’t succeed unless you pay money for tokens seems like a scam. ### 2/5 — Cute but crashing *2026-09-01, version 0.39.711* It was cute to try, but as all reviews mention there was a series of pop ups to close (about 10). I got used to that but now it just crashes and I can’t play at all. Oh well. It’s nice to see a game with LGBTQ people as the focus. If I have a complaint it’s the amount of pop ups when you open the game. Eight of them for in game events, two for top up reminders. Long story short you have to collect every hour or pay to have any meaningful game play. Bref sans intérêt. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE GAME DESIGN *2026-08-22, version 0.39.620* I wanted to love this game SO bad, but the longer I play, the more it feels like the entire game is designed to frustrate you into spending real money. The coin system is absolutely ridiculous. You barely earn any coins through normal gameplay, and there are almost no meaningful ways to get more unless you level up, buy them, or sit through multiple ads just to get something like 20 coins. And the amount of pop-up ads constantly being thrown at you makes it even worse. Yes, you can technically earn coins by completing merge requests, but even that system feels completely unbalanced. The requests will have you trying to create items at level 9, 10, 11, or even 12, which takes FOREVER, just for the reward to be around 100 coins. Meanwhile, every single time you tap the merge bag to generate an item, it costs 3 coins. THREE. So by the time you’ve spent hundreds of coins trying to create the high-level item they’re requesting, the tiny reward doesn’t even come close to making up for what you spent creating it. You’re basically losing coins just by playing the game the way it’s intended to be played. And that’s my biggest issue: what exactly are we supposed to do when we run out of coins? There’s no real side game to grind for coins. No meaningful daily activities. No power-ups that help you progress. No alternate gameplay that lets you build your resources back up. Nothing. You’re basically left with the options of waiting, watching several ads for a laughably small amount of coins, leveling up whenever you finally manage to do that, or pulling out your wallet. The game could actually be REALLY fun if the economy were balanced better. Give us daily coin challenges. Give us mini-games. Give us login bonuses. Give us power-ups. Let us earn a reasonable amount of coins from requests. Make the merge bag cost 1 coin instead of 3. Give us SOMETHING that makes it feel like progressing is based on actually playing the game instead of constantly being pushed toward buying coins. I understand free games need to make money. I don’t expect everything to be handed to players for free. But there’s a difference between offering optional purchases and designing the entire gameplay loop around constantly draining a resource that players have almost no reasonable way to replenish. At this point, it doesn’t even feel like I’m playing a merge game. It feels like I’m playing “How Long Can You Survive Before You Run Out of Coins?” I really wanted to like Merge Cruise because the concept is cute and I actually enjoy the merging part, but the coin system completely ruins it. Unless they add more ways to earn coins, increase the rewards, lower the cost of generating items, or add more actual gameplay, I can’t recommend it. Right now it just feels like a game built around getting you invested enough to eventually pay for coins. ### 1/5 — No consume no fun *2026-08-21* Without perching items your experience of this game will be hell. You won’t have enough energy to finish daily quests. And once you consumed, the items in cash shop become even more expensive. I reached out to support and every time they told me the issue was fixed, but it wasn’t. I literally uninstalled and reinstalled it 4-5 times because Support kept telling me oh OK this time we resolved the issue. But they NEVER did. Screen is still blank. I’m not going to download this again.
