### 5/5 — 👀

*2025-10-14, version 1.2.6*

Oh this is good

### 5/5 — My current favorite mobile game!

*2025-10-04*

I’ve played plenty of mobile games looking for something decent (there’s so much ad-ridden slop) and this is by far my favorite! The gameplay loop is engaging, the progression is well designed, and there’s a load of fun challenge modes that toss in new mechanics and/or goals.

It’s not at all the generic merge game I anticipated, the name does it a disservice because this is (imo) a better Luck Be A Landlord. I’ve probably played an embarrassing 10-15 hours of this already. I’m genuinely excited for more content and that’s a first for me with a mobile game!

### 5/5 — I love this game

*2025-10-02, version 1.2.4*

Pls keep making new packs and boards, devs

### 5/5 — Surprisingly Excellent

*2025-10-01*

Just downloaded this on a whim thinking it would be a trash merger, but curious to see what kind of mechanics it uses. Very surprised to find it to be a challenging and strategic rogue-like with lots of variety and great use of the merge mechanic. No ads and a free-version that is fun to play by itself while definitely making you want to pay for the (very affordable) paid version.

### 5/5 — Nice chill roguelike

*2025-09-26, version 1.2.4*

Lots of combos and interactions to explore, fun and interesting challenges, lots of difficulties to try out. Great game.

### 5/5 — Delightful elegance

*2025-09-24, version 1.2.2*

One of the best App Store games I’ve seen in a while. Simple, elegant, deep, fun. Love the developer’s passion for the game and updates. Thank you.

### 5/5 — I stopped playing Balatro for this game

*2025-09-20, version 1.2.1*

What more needs to be said?

### 5/5 — Simple to learn, lots of depth!

*2025-09-09, version 1.1.4*

This game is perfectly addictive, lots of variety in the tokens, challenges and abilities, each game I’ve improvised a completely different system!

Love that the full version is only a couple bucks, and the free version is generous. It was an easy buy.

Some minor critiques;
The games are a bit long for my liking, I get my engine going by round 7 usually and am just going through the motions for the latter half of the game which is a tad boring.
I’d also love a bit more enemy variety!

Great game!

### 5/5 — Incredibly deep and complex

*2025-09-08, version 1.1.4*

The amount of fun you can have for so cheap is pretty crazy

### 5/5 — Ad-Free and One More Run…

*2025-09-08, version 1.1.4*

Absolutely brilliant game, exactly what phone games should be all about. It works, it’s easy enough to get into, it’s addictive, and you can put it down and come back to it anytime. Make more games

### 5/5 — Outstanding. Lots of fun

*2025-09-03, version 1.1.4*

Just 100%ed it. I enjoyed it a ton

### 5/5 — Yes yes yes

*2025-08-28, version 1.1.3*

Incredible hame. Happy to say i am here early. Love the work and just how uniquely fun and challenging this is. The synergies go crazy

### 5/5 — Didn’t expect

*2025-08-26, version 1.1.3*

This to slap so hard

### 5/5 — Best mobile game

*2025-08-24, version 1.1.2*

2048 roguelike every run is fun and unique. A steal for full version. Same as on steam

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-08-23, version 1.1.2*

A lot of fun, highly recommend

### 5/5 — An Addictive Joy

*2025-08-22*

This game revels in allowing you to create a broken build of tokens. Similar to Balatro and luck be a landlord but with layers of interactions between token sets and enemies that keep it fresh much longer in my opinion.
The devs of this game should be proud that they have built such a polished and fun game!

### 1/5 — 游戏节奏非常差！

*2026-03-08, version 1.3.6*

游戏节奏太差了！

### 1/5 — App doesn’t open

*2025-08-06, version 1.0.13*

Just crashes

### 2/5 — Has promise, marred by bad UI

*2025-08-12, version 1.0.18*

Game is a lot of fun and seems to have some real depth to it. But the UI is frankly horrible. You can’t increase the size of the text and it doesn’t adhere to your system font size. That makes it frankly unplayable for me. If they can fix that, I’d be willing to revisit it.

### 2/5 — heard good things

*2025-08-09, version 1.0.17*

…but the type is way too small, doesn’t scale with ios settings, it was too hard to see, uninstalled

### 3/5 — ENDLESS MODE

*2025-07-31, version 1.0.13*

Super fund game. I wish there was an endless mode. The game ends just when it’s getting good.

### 4/5 — Love this game, but

*2025-11-25*

This game has been my go to mobile game for months. I have beaten every challenge, and even faced eternity. My only issue with this game is that the RNG is atrocious, for me. For the average player, this is probably a non issue. You get a bad set of tokens? Just start over. However, I’m currently trying to the gold medal (three wins in a row) for every level. You get two wins in a row, and then all of a sudden you get a group of completely useless tokens and lose your streak because you have nothing to stop a lady bug from wiping you on round 1. Also, while I’m complaining, some of the round 5/10 powers are just trash and don’t feel like a reward. That being said, I will continue to chip away at the last 3 gold medals I need regardless of RNG because this game is incredibly fun, and I look forward to future content updates.

### 4/5 — fun game but frustrated

*2025-10-13, version 1.2.6*

lost because of integer overflow pls implement infinity

### 4/5 — Addictive but Spiky

*2025-08-21, version 1.0.18*

It’s great and there’s a lot of potential strategy, but the moment you lose a single health it might as well be game over. It feels impossible to recover from a single hit :(

### 4/5 — Excellent concept with lots of keywords to learn

*2025-08-20, version 1.0.18*

Jesus christ the blowfish is flickin me bro

### 4/5 — Fun but unpolished

*2025-08-17*

Great game but lacks polish. For instance if you uninstall it and reinstall or install onto another device you use, you lose ALL of your progress.

Builds and enemies can feel repetitive with items essentially being “destroy x thing”. Could be interesting to add enemy items that debuff or delevel.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hidden gem

*2026-06-27*

This is a beautifuly well crafted game. The amount of different synergies and combos you can make feels endless as well. Amazing game, the full version is 1000% worth every penny! Great for plane flights or bus rides, easy to pick up as well!

### 5/5 — Unbelievable Entry to the Balatro-like Hall of Fame!!

*2026-05-14*

This is such a unique take on the Balatro-like craze we’ve seen over the past few years (apologies for using the term, I couldn’t think of anything else). No ads, free version with almost 0 limitations, and a super addicting gameplay loop in a genre that’s been done 1000x over is truly a breath of fresh air.

On first glance, it looks like your typical merge game, but that barely scratches the surface. The upgrade system is fun to play around with, provides enough choice to the player to keep it interesting, and enhances the gameplay tenfold.

I seriously cannot recommend this game more highly, do yourself a favor and try it!!

### 5/5 — Genius little game

*2026-03-26, version 1.3.7*

Very clever, lots of challenge.

### 5/5 — S tier game

*2026-02-24, version 1.3.6*

This is super fun and underrated rogue lite

### 5/5 — awesome

*2025-12-27, version 1.3.2*

awesome game fr

### 5/5 — Fun roguelike à la Balatro

*2025-12-18*

Easy to pick up and play, and the gameplay loop is addicting. Full game only costs $3 and definitely worth supporting the dev for. The UI could be improved, but it’s functional for what it’s there for. The RNG can be pretty brutal, but it’s a fun kind of challenging.

### 5/5 — This game is what i have been looking for!

*2025-12-13*

A rogue lite game that can be played at any time with the phone in vertical position and not long runs, the free version is awesome! No ads, and the full version its cheap but with a lot of content. It reminds me of the game Super Auto Pets but this one is singleplayer, so not competitive and NO METAS. Obviously ill buy de full game

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2025-12-04, version 1.3.1*

Really good value, keeps you replaying and genuinely challenges your brain. Loving the new pack!

### 5/5 — Instant buy

*2025-10-31, version 1.2.6*

Checked this out on a recommendation from The Minnmax Show’s Jeff M. Bought it after one run. This makes the wait for STS2 bearable.

### 5/5 — My current favorite mobile game by far!

*2025-10-27*

The gameplay loop is engaging, the progression is well designed, and there’s a load of fun challenge modes that toss in new mechanics and/or goals. It’s not even remotely the generic merge-3 game I anticipated and the name does it a disservice imo. This is actually a great little rouge-like with quick runs and relatively intuitive mechanics!

I’ve probably played 10-15 hours of this already and I’m genuinely excited for more content to be added in the future! Massive props to the dev (Stingless) for the monetization scheme too, it’s playable for free and than just a few USD ($2.99 I believe?) for the full game.

Edit: It’s probably been about 30-40 hours now (yikes) and I’m still really enjoying Merge Maestro!
