It gets boring with only 100 energy at a time which is used up quickly. Then to get the item needed takes forever as you can only tap on say the cupboard so many times before it takes 3 and a half hours to restore and takes forever to make the item needed. Makes it very boring to wait for. The multitude of mini games makes it hard to navigate and find amongst all the other pop up things that are happening and now cards. I am finding the merging is getting increasing long winded. Merging the cinematic seats is laborious . I’ve been playing for years, and I didn’t mind the switch from trading for item boxes to the current daily trade system. But now I’m having issues. High level producers are expected to be traded for low level items. I'm working towards a high-level yarn item, and daily trade is offering me a trade of a high level moth for a low level yarn. The moth itself can produce that yarn 5x over. I want to use daily trades and gain rewards, but these trades are worthless. ### 2/5 — Buyer Beware *2026-08-31, version 26.07.01* I've played this game for well over a year and here are my main caveats. #2 was the deal breaker for me and what made me stop playing and delete the app. 1. Be aware that only about 30% of the scenarios depicted in the ads are real. Like I said, I played this game for over a year and was among the top scoring players and I never saw the other 70% of the rest of the ads depictions. 2. After a few weeks of playing, you'll discover that the only way to advance significantly in the game is to purchase tons of enhancements. After seeing over $400 on my Visa bill one month I had to quit. ### 3/5 — Going downhill *2026-08-30, version 26.07.01* I love this game I have played it every day for years!! I have 2 issues. The first is that the producers do not produce as much as they used to. They produce dramatically less it’s so frustrating. The second is that there is too much junk on the board. You need so many different producers and stuff that there is hardly any room for the items you need to merge. The board has shrunk. For an ipad pro 12.9 it’s tiny. There’s too much happening AROUND the playable board and not enough playable space. There is too much messing around with stuff for almost a year now I can not complete the season passes. I used to have no problems. I can’t even complete those daily tasks anymore. I buy the season passes and gems a lot. I spent money on an event item that was suppose to add to what I’ve already acquired but has vanished and somehow OUT OF NO WHERE disappeared…..I am frustrated… I finally spend money on a game I’ve been playing for years and they erase what I have done and it’s not ok…. ### 3/5 — It was fun but… *2026-08-25, version 26.06.02* This game has a lot of potential. It’s fun to play and the renovations are nice to complete. That being said, it’s gotten to the point where you either have to wait days to finish one task, as the the generators recharge, or you can spend real money to make it go quicker. The tasks are getting so stacked and redundant to complete. The only tasks I get take thousand of energy to build it to the item I need. Only if I purchase diamonds with cash can I get want the game needs. I’ve been playing this game for years, and I loved and respected it because it doesn’t shove unsolicited ads in your face, and it was fun! That was a greedy and shortsighted change! Game plat becomes tedious and monotonous. No fun just a grind now, stopped paying and maybe play once a week. There was NO “clue cards” or “mini games” nor “fishing or baking” or “bird watching” repeated or crazy amounts of “decorations” and one million “pets”. It was actually fun. Reform the areas and merge to get everything done. Then it all started to change, rewards decreased drastically. I mean DRASTICALLY. “Prices” inside the game, on the other hand, INCREASED EXPONENTIALLY. Then developers went above and beyond to make players slow down and kept doing it. The merge game became a ridiculous game of trickery that it is not relaxing and enjoyable, only frustrating. And the dishonesty, just disgusting. Producers ( even in their advanced levels) rates were reduced drastically. It is basically impossible ONE full item without running out of “time”. Every single aspect of the game it is designed to trick the player into spending more and more. The daily offer of “free currency” demands use of the “time”. So give it with one hand while taking it with the other. A daily trade offer to exchange items? Sounds good? Rigged. rigged. The offer it is always to “exchange” the highest value items the player has for something of ridiculously lower value. But wait, there is an option to PAY UP to refresh and try another trade possibility. Go ahead and pay it, the game will “refresh” it and give you the exactly same trade option you just rejected. The rewards are absolutely ridiculous. The “Chests”? Just a couple of items. The “giveaway” is the last ridiculous scam. 20 “items” for hundreds of thousands. The game should have been named: dishonest merge mansion. And the clue cards?! What the heck is that? What kind rewards are those cards? And clues to what? It’s not a book! It’s also NOT a mystery game. It doesn’t make sense. The “plot” it is not important. No one care to read those dialogs. You know the feeling of being scammed ? That’s it. So, I am done. No ads, no tiny figures farming. It’s not a match 3 game (BORING) but a match 2 and you’re not matching gems but actual tools. Plus slowly, hint by hint, room by room, the Boulton family mysteries are revealed - or are they? Are they fact, or mere legends? And what exactly is Grandma’s part in all this? You can play slowly without buying gems or energy or you can play much faster if you do. It’s entirely up to you. Thank you for changing back the Auto-merge Madness tool, because I could easily turn it off without it affecting my board.
