I’ll be moving my bots around, and even when I moved it NO WERE NEAR the bot, it still merges. And that pisses me off every time. I usually like to move my bots so I have 5 that are high tier and one that is the highest, and once I can merge the highest with another, I do. This glitch completely interrupts this and I’d like to get it fixed. Second of all, there is a glitch I encountered were I would be spinning the boss wheel and I would land on a legendary reward, but then the common boss spawns… and I get scammed out of tons of money. This is super annoying and was the only other issue that prompted me to write this. Apart from that, great job on the awesome game, this is really fun and I love to play this. ### 4/5 — Game needs more *2023-08-22* I love tower defense games but there is no consequence to bots going across screen they just loop back around. The damage and gold are scaled stupidly high for no reason and even with boost active and an air strike and all 6 bots at max level 80 I still lost to a gold boss. Not to mention the slots wheel that shows which boss you fight is never accurate and you get a different one than is displaced once the round starts. Bots are dull and have no real bonuses and at no point in the game do you ever feel powerful. Maxing everything out was full and unfulfilling. And now the only reason I would keep merging bots is for the potential of a new update with more bots and maps. ### 3/5 — Won’t load anymore? *2021-12-18, version 4.7.0* I played this game a lot before and then took a hiatus for awhile. I just came back to it again, and now the game is stuck on the loading screen with an empty bar…. What happened? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it’s still stuck… It worked again, but only after I completely removed it from my device….. including my saved data….. all of my previous progress is gone…. Honestly it’s been long enough to where I don’t even remember what I lost lol. Oh well… ### 3/5 — It’s alright. *2020-12-04, version 4.1.1* It’s pretty fun and you feel as though progress is being made.. until later into the game. You’ll eventually realize that all the numbers are arbitrary. At no point, even for a little while, so you feel like you’re “winning”. Have maxed out bots for your area? Watched an ad or dropped gems for the double attack speed? I mean look at the numbers! It must mean something, right? Until the boss creeps off the screen, undying. Seemingly more invincible and quicker than before. I can no longer progress. All of my bots are level 80. There are no new areas to reach. Even with this, double attack speed and the little special attack.. bosses frustratingly roll their way off the screen. Always there to remind you to feed the game your gems. Which earning them later in the game without having to purchase them isn’t an option. Not that there’s really a reason to fight bosses. Or even play the game now. But it had a good run, and it was entertaining up to that point. Well. For as much as a phone game can be. And these aren’t really entertainment are they. Just small lapses in time where your phone is sucking your brain dry when you probably should be doing something else, shouldn’t you. ### 4/5 — I regret downloading this game! *2020-06-18, version 2.1.6* This is a cool game but two problems THE ADS Once you get to a high level ADS there are so many! And the second problem it crashes almost every time I unlock a knew bot and that mega mega rocket thing every time I try to use it It CRASHES!!!!!! please fix that problem! :( ### 4/5 — Amazing game one problem *2020-06-12, version 2.1.6* You can’t go back and play the Easier levels so...if you get stuck and your robots aren’t making any money you can’t go back get money and then level up your robots I had restart once because I could not get enough money to upgrade and I was not destroying the enemys so No money was coming in. Still really FUN. ### 4/5 — Seems like our time is coming to an end *2020-02-01, version 2.1.5* I’m currently lvl 103 with 4 lvl 80 towers. I’ve gone as far as I can on the map, I can’t go past lvl 80 towers, I’ve purchased every attack boost, I can only buy up to lvl 76 towers (without using 300+ gems). Having a limit of 12 spaces to merge with gets difficult when you have lvl 80s stacking up. I was a little disappointed when the game got completely redesigned but I adjusted quickly to the current gameplay. I’m hoping that merge tower bots gets more locations on the map, a wider variety of bosses, Tower lvls that go beyond lvl 80, maybe more attack boosts as well. I can only defeat bosses with double attack speed, in certain matchups of course. I’m not necessarily sure that I’ll continue playing if the gameplay stays the same as it is now. I still think you guys deserve 4 stars since it has taken me awhile to get where I am now, but that’s why I’m hoping for more. ### 3/5 — Just OK *2020-01-28, version 2.1.5* While the premise of this game is cool and the bots are designed well, they really could have done better. It gets very boring and repetitive very quick. You can’t ever get ahead because the prices always change. Why should a bot that cost one million dollars cost more after you bought two or three. Now they cost 2.5 million apiece! Why would the price go up? It’s just the same thing over and over and over again. Maybe add upgrades to each bot. Add a firing speed upgrade. A rocket upgrade. ### 5/5 — What a Meta this is here *2020-01-27, version 2.1.5* I have to say, whoever you are or whomever you are that put this game together, it’s a work of pure art and entertainment. It truly captivates what a phone game should be and then exceeds. Just when I thought this was going to be another lousy download overhyped literally but a lot of people, just to have my own assumptions blown to smithereens. I applaud this game, wish I could’ve been apart of development!!! ### 5/5 — Awesome Game! I’ve been waiting for the new update,and now, it has come! *2020-01-06, version 2.1.5* I used to love this game when I was 5 years old, well I was excited when the updates happened, the old updates were boring, tho. Usually, I’ve been waiting for a LONNNNGGGGGGGGG time for the update to happen, so after that, it finally came! Well, It usually changed the bots into different skins, and fire rate. I was like, “wut!?!?!?!?!?!?!??” and then I pressed fight boss but usually it was a spinner, so I wanted legendary, but I got rare, so then in my mind I was like can we just putted like old times???????????? So this game was incredible! Sincerely-Your Game Fan->Matthew Perez ### 4/5 — 1 Bug Found With New Update *2019-11-05, version 2.1.0* This game is honestly, one of the best games I have ever played on the App Store. Now, with that being said, the new update seems like it made the game a little bit easier to get the new bots. However, there is unfortunately a new bug that has appeared with this update. The 4 free gems that you are supposed to get every 8 hours, no longer works as intended. What I mean by that is, it’s only worked once, and when I look there it just never refills. The timer for it isn’t even there, and when I press the claim button, it does not give anything and the timer resets to 8 hours. Please fix this, as this is, in my opinion, one of the best, if not the best idle game, on the App Store. **Developer response:** Hi :), Thanks for your feedback! The Merge Tower Bots Team ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This game is trash *2020-01-18, version 2.1.5* At the last level on the map and almost have the lvl 80 bot. Only have been playing to see what it looks like. Once you realize that being stuck on the last level without any increase in gold earnings per second make it take forever at that point to merge anything you stop caring. Also, a HUGE problem with the game is that no matter how many times you “merge” or upgrade your bots the enemies keep getting harder with your merges so no matter what the damage of your bots doesn’t really matter at all. The damage of the level 1 bots is actually probably better than that of the 70’s-80’s actually because the game starts of easier to pull you in. Your game is garbage. Anyone who rated this higher than one star just hasn’t realized it yet. ### 1/5 — New art style *2019-12-21, version 2.1.5* Honestly I’m not sure how to put it, but the New art style isn’t really that good. I would recommend changing it back to the normal... Well, original art style. I’ve seen some other reviews complaining about the same thing. If you could change it back I would change my start rating because it was a lot better in the original game/original art style. Also I recommend like taking out the boss spinner wheel because it’s kind of a brick wall for some new users. Like you might get a hard boss as soon as you reach a boss. Also it be a cool feature if you could upgrade the bots. For example I upgrade a level one bot, and when I merge the bot, the upgrade goes onto the next box and then the next part and so on. The Merge Tower Bots Team ### 1/5 — Latest update looks nice but so much doesn’t work *2019-11-06, version 2.1.0* Latest version really improved the look of the game and introduced some nice features ..... however, everything to get free gems and free upgrades (by watching videos) does not work. The video plays and then you get nothing - did you guys not test this before release? Also the logic of upgrading bots and improving the damage seems to be broken or the boss level sometimes they are destroyed quickly, other times same bots and same boss and you are asked for gems to try again. Nice looks but rubbish when it comes to earning anything free ### 1/5 — They have robbed us. *2019-09-20, version 1.3.4* So I’m at lvl50 merging and half way through rank 5 on the map. I enjoy the game but it’s starting to get ridiculous. I’m watching an add every 3 min just to be able to keep my double damage boost up so I can upgrade my bots past lvl 30 maybe this week. In every game I have played previously with a “watch this add for a boost” the boost has always lasted no less than 1 hour. Also, I have plenty of gems to spend In the store for the gold exchange but they won’t give you 100%. They claim you get 1hr worth of gold based on you current earnings. So if I am earning 100gold/sec that should be 6000gold/min and 360,000gold/hour right? Wrong. They want to sell me 108,000gold for an hour. And it doesn’t increase if you buy 12 hours worth or 24 hours worth. It’s not even a full 1/3 of what you actually earn. They are trying to sell you 30% of what you would actually earn in a hour. The Merge Tower Bots Team ### 2/5 — Fun for a Minute, Potentially a Classic, Botched and Neglected *2022-10-24, version 5.3.2* Honestly, this game starts out pretty addicting and fun. At some point along the way, you will realize there is no strategy and the gameplay is just a math equation. If you are dedicated and persistent, you will max out everything in a few days. You could probably finish in 48 hours if you played strait through. I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on this because it’s obvious the developers have given up on it. Sad, because the initial fun was pretty captivating and it had potential to go in a few directions that would keep people entertained for a lot longer than it currently does (meaning more money for the developers). If you were to spend money on in game upgrades, ad removal, etc… you will quickly find out after a couple days what a bad idea that was. In conclusion: Fun, but not for long… ### 2/5 — Ads are overpowering *2022-06-05, version 5.1.0* This is a game that isn’t here to make you think. What’s going on at the top of the screen has 0 bearing on anything. You aren’t defending anything. This is just a game to see numbers on a screen and think you are progressing. The ads though are oppressive. I understand the developer wants to make money but there’s very little you can do in this game without watching ads. It’s oppressive that in a 1 minute span you’ll watch 2 ads that themselves are long and drawn out. ### 2/5 — Not Much Content and Bugs *2020-06-18, version 2.1.6* The game only lasts about 4-5 days before you beat all the areas and have all the damage boosts purchased. Don’t need lvl 80 robots to do this so eventually the game becomes just grinding over and over to unlock the lvl 80. Which upgrading robots is basically pointless in this game because you don’t kill enemies faster you just get more gold. So it’s same slow grind. Also a bug I’ve been experiencing is when I go to fight the boss and it spins and lands on the Legendary Boss it will still place a basic boss in the fight area. Basic boss right now drops 50AG compared to legendary boss 500AG. Needless to say when it happens more than once, I’d rather just delete the app. Looking at the version history it doesn’t look like a new update is coming anytime soon with more areas etc. ### 2/5 — Good merge game but still forced ads after no ads purchase *2020-01-05, version 2.1.5* I play a lot of idle games, and this is quite action packed for the genre. There’s a lot of great arcade sound effects and lots to do which gets my adrenaline up! I was happy to see there was a No Ads IAP. If I like a game and the no ads price is reasonable, it’s worth a purchase to eliminate them so I can relax and enjoy the game, or at least make what few ads are left optional and feel like a good value. Unfortunately, there is still an enforced ad to watch, about every 5-10 minutes, even after buying No Ads. The top unlocked robot will periodically become “free” (no gold) if you watch an ad, but if you don’t want to watch the ad, there is no way to buy the robot with gold until you watch the ad. I don’t want free robot, I don’t want to watch ads, I just want to buy my unlocked robots for gold and keep playing. I feel ripped off, like I’m still being forced to watch ads to play the game as designed. It’s really frustrating. It seems like you devs watch these reviews to make improvements. The Merge Tower Bots Team ### 2/5 — Finished game in 3 days *2019-12-29, version 2.1.5* I still have a few more levels of bots to unlock, however I am at the end of the map and damage boosts are all unlocked. In only 3 days. This game has been out 10 months roughly it appears. That gives me little hope for more content. I would love to see more levels and bots. Also. Watch a 30 sec add for 3 min fire rate boost is not really worth it. Seems that it always gives me 2 min 40 sec when the add is over. And even 5 min would be awesome. I’d be more likely to fill up my hour bar that way rather than only when needed. Please make more maps and bots. The Merge Tower Bots Team ### 2/5 — Honest review *2019-10-31, version 2.1.0* This game is great for killing time when there’s nothing else to do. It’s overall mindless and entertaining which makes it excellent for the times you’re just looking to relax by playing something that requires zero brain activity. However, there are a few issues that keep this game from deserving 5 stars. One is the misleading use of the word “free”. It will offer you “free” bots every 3 seconds but it hits you with an add if you claim it. Another issue is that boosted fire rates only last 3 minutes but cost either 15 diamonds or another add to get. A third issue is that in game money isn’t given in high enough amounts to mean anything. This game is nearly there to be better than Roblox. The things you just need to do is fix the level to map cuz it look kinda squished, then you need to add more characters, make the bot power more accurate and then have the bots use all of their weapons cuz the weapons they have are kinda non accurate, add more stuff to power percentage have more slots to put bots, and also add more merge space and thats it. ### 5/5 — This game is great but adds nah in annoying *2022-07-10, version 5.1.3* When I played this game it’s was great but a couple of minutes later the adds where ceep coming up but it was annoying so much so the adds needs to be removed ### 5/5 — A Good Way To Kill Time *2021-04-21, version 4.2.3* Very good game in general, it combines the concept of a tower defense game, such as balloons tower defense, and also adds the concept of “merge” games. Most of the merge games basically just have you keep tapping, which gets boring really fast, as for this, it has a fun bit of action. It’s a good way to kill time if you’re bored, and from my experience of playing it, it’s easy and not really money hungry. There are LOTS of bots. But I have some quick suggestions. First, I would like to have an achievement system. In this, you can unlock achievements and get rewards for them.
