## What is MergeMageAcademy?

Merge Mage Academy is the merge game with a real fight underneath. Spell-runes fill a 6×6 grid every turn — tap three matching runes to forge them into a stronger spell, then end your turn and watch every rune auto-fire at the boss column. The satisfying click-merge dopamine you love, finally wrapped around an actual combat-strategy roguelike instead of one more room to redecorate.

Every run is a five-boss gauntlet, and the bosses fight dirty. They lock cells, curse your runes so they can't merge, and jumble the whole board. Master the four schools of magic to push back:

- EMBER — raw, brutal damage. No tricks, just fire.
- RIME — chills the boss on fire, delaying its next corruption.
- AETHER — clears locked cells and cleanses cursed runes.
- VERDANT — mends your ward so you can outlast the gauntlet.

BETWEEN RUNS, BUILD YOUR ACADEMY
Spend the Lore you earn on a real meta-progression that carries forever:
- Recruit professor mentors for run-defining passive buffs
- Upgrade classrooms — more moves, more starting ward, better rune draws
- Unlock extra mentor slots to stack professors into wild builds

No two runs play the same. Go all-in on Ember burst, build a Verdant survival engine, or stack Aether to laugh at the boss's corruption.
