## What is MergePit?

MergePit is a free falling-block reaction game built around one satisfying verb: merge. Drop colored circles into the pit, land two of the same kind together, and they fuse into the next tier up. Keep the chain going and the points stack fast — let the pit fill past the line and the run is over.

It's the kind of game you pick up for thirty seconds and put down twenty minutes later. One thumb, instant restarts, no tutorials to sit through.

WHAT MAKES IT TICK • Ten tiers of pieces, from the smallest up to the gold jackpot. • Merge matching pieces to climb the tiers; time your drops to build chain multipliers for big swings. • Two of the largest piece annihilate for a jackpot — find out what that's worth. • Rescue drops give you a second chance when the pit creeps over the line.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY • Timed — pieces drop on a tightening countdown. This is the competitive mode; your score goes to the Game Center leaderboards. • Relaxed — no countdown, no pressure. Take all the time you want; your best is kept right on your device.

THE DAILY CHALLENGE • Everyone plays the same pit each day — a fair, shared board. Climb the daily leaderboard, then dare a friend to beat your score on the very same pieces. • Build a streak by coming back and playing every day.

COMPETE AND COLLECT • Game Center leaderboards: an all-time board, a weekly reset, and a fresh daily board, so there's always a top to chase. • Game Center achievements for the milestones worth bragging about. • Lifetime stats tracked on your device, plus a score card you can share to dare a friend to beat it.

FAIR AND FRIENDLY • Completely free. No ads. No in-app purchases. No subscriptions. • No accounts to create and no servers — everything stays on your device, and the only thing that ever leaves it is a leaderboard score you choose to submit through Game Center. • Full iPhone and iPad support, with sound and haptics you can toggle off. • A color-blind aid labels every piece with its tier number, so matches are clear without relying on color.

Every screen now plays the same pit.

A bigger phone used to mean a bigger pit — more room for the same jellies, and an easier run at the same score. Not anymore. The pit is now identical on every device measured in jelly-widths: same width, same height, same room before the danger line. A larger screen simply draws it larger.

Smaller iPhones gain room. Pro Max and iPad now play a tighter pit than they used to — the same one everyone else has been playing. Leaderboards and the Daily Challenge are fairer for it: the same daily seed now drops the same pieces into the same pit, whatever you're holding.

Also in this release:
• The pit keeps its shape if you rotate an iPad or resize the window mid-run
• Keyboard and trackpad aiming covers the same ground relative to the pit on every screen
• The color-blind tier numbers stay legible on the smallest screens

  • The pressure now keeps building past 1500 points, so big runs stay spicy all the way. To keep things fair, the all-time leaderboard starts fresh — go claim your spot!
  • A better ending: see your longest chain, biggest jelly, and your leaderboard rank right on the game-over screen. Miss your best by a hair? Now you'll know exactly how close you were.
  • Daily players: your streak and a countdown to the next pit are right there when a run ends.
