## What is Meridian?

Every journal entry you write becomes a star.

Meridian is a journaling app built around one idea: your reflections deserve to last. Each time you write, a new star appears in your personal Night Sky, a living visual galaxy that grows alongside your inner life. Over time, AI connects related entries into constellations, revealing themes across your writing you might never have noticed on your own.

Your Personal Galaxy
Unlike traditional journals that fade into a list, Meridian turns every reflection into a permanent object you can return to. Stars cluster by meaning, not just date. As your galaxy grows, it becomes a visual map of who you are and who you are becoming.

Optional Accountability with Screen Time
Want real stakes? Meridian can lock your most distracting apps, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, until you write a reflection. Using Apple's Screen Time API, your chosen apps stay shielded at your chosen wind-down time. The only key is your journal. Need a little more time? Spend Stardust, earned through consistent writing, to snooze the lock for 10 minutes.

AI That Actually Helps
- Personalized reflection prompts generated for you each day
- Theme extraction that finds what matters across your entries

### 5/5 — One of the most unique and rewarding ways to journal

*2026-06-07*

I never really got into journaling before, but Meridian actually made it feel easy and kind of fun. I like that every note turns into a star in your galaxy, so it feels like you’re slowly building something while keeping track of your thoughts. It helped me realize how nice it is to look back on old notes and see what was on my mind at different points in time.

### 5/5 — Very Interesting app!

*2026-06-05*

Super cool concept. There is finally a journaling app that is not a passive container. My journal entries are saved somewhere and it’s meaningful as opposed to the standard journaling apps where ur entries collect dust in a folder. Very creative UI design. Looking at it with an open mind, the sky is the limit for its potential.

### 5/5 — Simple to Use, Entertaining.

*2026-06-05*

Simple to use, straightforward. I’m a fan of the UI. Would recommend to others looking to journal/ r stay focused. No issues or bugs to report.

### 5/5 — Very impressed!

*2026-06-01*

The UI is very good. It’s so satisfying to complete a journal. I highly recommend downloading this app. It helps you reflect each and every day which is very beneficial.

### 5/5 — Great modern gamification of journaling!

*2026-06-01*

I’ve been into journaling (on paper) since I was in college years ago and this app is really the first digital journaling tool I’ve actually enjoyed. The stars/constellation concept is cool, and really aesthetically pleasing, but I also really like that I can still view my entries in a more standard list format. Also, AI can sort entries into groups by topic or I can manually organize my entries into groups, another feature that I really like.
There is a feature that locks your apps until an entry is written, while I am not really into this particular aspect, I do like that it can help build discipline for beginners, for example I lock my socials once a week to make sure my entry is written by that time. I also dislike that there are in app purchases, but honestly it’s super cheap and some of the customization options are nice. They are however, still pretty limited in overall benefits so I will probably hold off on the pro version for now. However, even without the pro version, the in-store currency can be earning by journaling, which I love!

Overall, for an app that I believe is only a few months old, it’s super unique and has more useful features than average journaling app. It’s obviously not the same as writing on paper, but for an online journaling app, it’s both functional and intuitive while the UI is very well designed. There is plenty of room for improvements, and some bugs here and there, but the sky is the limit for Meridian and I will continue to use the app as they develop.

### 5/5 — Love the aesthetic

Literally the prettiest app on my phone rn. Love how the journals are like stars in a galaxy. Plus the lock feature is super helpful for keeping me consistent. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Concept

Really good concept and actually helpful in terms of staying consistent.
