## What is Merit?

Merit turns everyday chores into something the whole family actually wants to keep up with. Parents set up chores and rewards; kids earn points for what they finish; everyone sees the same family in real time across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch.

EARN POINTS FOR REAL LIFE
Create chores once and assign them to each kid. A quick tap hands one in — no photo required — and the points land instantly for the whole family to see.

REWARDS WORTH WORKING FOR
Stock the reward store with the things your kids care about: screen time, a movie night, a trip for ice cream, or whatever motivates them. Kids spend the points they earn, and parents stay in control of what's offered.

BEHAVIOR CHARTS
Track the habits you're working on — kindness, homework, staying calm — on a simple chart that starts on any day you choose. Parents can keep a private occurrence log with severity and notes, and share a clean summary or PDF with a teacher or therapist.

ONE FAMILY, EVERY DEVICE
Everything syncs automatically through iCloud. Start a chore on the iPhone, check it from the Mac, glance at points on your Apple Watch, and show the family board on the Apple TV. Co-parents share the same family with full access.

MADE YOURS
Pick from a set of playful themes, set a different look for each kid, and choose Light, Dark, or System appearance.

MERIT PLUS
Merit is free to use. Merit Plus unlocks the full experience with a monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime option. If you'd like to support development, optional tips are available too.

Built by a parent, for families. No ads, ever.

Merit+ is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly); payment is charged to your Apple Account and renews automatically unless cancelled, managed in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 2026.11.13 — 2026-10-29

What's new in this update:

• Made for iPhone Duo: unfold your phone and Merit opens into a roomy two-pane layout — a sidebar beside the full screen, just like on iPad. You can even run two Merit windows side by side.
• Apple TV: a new month Calendar — see what's due and when, grouped by kid.
• Apple TV: tap a chore to hand it in, and tap again to undo.
• Chore lists are now sorted A–Z on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
• New option to automatically clear very old missed chores so the list never piles up (off by default — turn it on in Settings).
• Polish and small fixes across the app.

Thanks for using Merit! We read every piece of feedback — tell us what your family would love next.
