## What is Merit?

Merit turns focus into something you can see, measure, and build on.

FOCUS YOUR WAY
Countdown, Pomodoro, or stopwatch — pick the rhythm that fits how you actually work. No forced structure, no one-size-fits-all timer.

SHIELD YOUR ATTENTION
Lock your most distracting apps during focus sessions. Every real minute of focus earns you a minute of screen time to spend later — so discipline pays off immediately, not just in theory.

WATCH YOURSELF GROW
Every session counts toward something bigger: build a daily streak, climb through ranks, and see a real picture of your focus over the week and month. Progress isn't just a number — it's a story you can look back on.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Set your timer and start focusing.
2. Your apps stay locked while Shield is on.
3. Finish your session — you've just earned screen time and moved your streak forward.
4. Spend your earned minutes when you actually want them, not whenever you feel like giving up.

MADE FOR REAL LIFE
— Ambient sounds to help you settle into focus
— Short reflections between sessions, not lectures
— Widgets and Live Activity so your progress stays visible without opening the app
— Invite a friend: you both earn a bonus when they join

Merit isn't about willpower alone. It's about making focus something you build, session after session — and something you can actually see yourself getting better at.
