There is the option to put in when you normally travel, and the times, which is then supposed to alert you if there is a problem but I’ve never had a notification of any of the issues. If I remember to check the app, it displays off there are problems with the lines. It would be great if you could at least get notification of any disruptions to the lines. Even better would be able to select which lines you want notifications for. Forces me to use nearest station on the first screen and cannot be changed so you have to check departures so the summary screen is redundant as nearest isn’t always best for me. Ticket inspectors are obnoxious bullies ! New trains break as much as the points fail! Hooton flooding is well known yet never predicted to happen when it rains. All in all I’d never recommend relying on them for anything. As I write this, the train from spital to Liverpool is running 9 minutes late.
