I understand software development is hard, I’ve done it before, but disabling the review after a meeting is very simple. The Solstice Pod came with no documentation and you have to download from their website. After downloading and reading through it, no help in being able to connect to the device as a WAP. It was professionally installed an integrated package with a 60" flatscreen in our conference room. We were excited by the prospect of an easy to use collaborative tool to bounce mutiple screens on multiple platforms . The set up was painful due to latency issues that was only partially resolved. Each time my staff can into set up a quick conference something would not work right or often we found it would crash overnight. The local technicians were attentive and knowledgable . Unfortunately we could never "just use it".... I ended up being the only one after many tries to get it to work. After disconnecting it , I grabbed my old $69 appletv with AirPlay and bam we were up and running. Often I will come in from the field with a iPhone full of photos or a website I just found and with a flip of the finger it was full screen! Pop open my MacBook Pro and no latency running our complex CAD software ... Almost instantly back and forth across multiple devices just by pressing the AirPlay button! Very few things have worked this well...and a consumer product to boot. I am not telling you this to rub noses in it but rather suggest the Solstice technology needs work and needs to be less costly. Many of our projects involve designing collaborative spaces. I was initially sceptical that it would work smoothly, but I’ve just done my first lecture wirelessly projecting my iPad with Notability and it worked fantastically with the handwriting projected pretty smoothly, not at all jumpy. We chose the co-working space for their modern meeting accommodations and proximity to our office. The content sharing software they use (Solstice), has been a breath of fresh air for our team. We typically have multiple presenters during our QBRs, and the ability this tool provides to connect multiple users without the use of any cables, as well as share but dock content that won’t be used until later has been very helpful. I have had great response from my users. The product is well supported by the manufacturer with new features added every quarter. The app not only lets you share content from your device, but also allows the device to act like a laser pointer.
