Now working really well. *2025-05-08, version 1.74.0* Love the card offering points on the biggest spend category- mortgage. Yes, initially there were few issues that card wasn’t getting declined at a particular merchant. But mesa worked really well and troubleshoot the issue and it was resolved fairly quickly. There were few bugs in the app, but the fairly regular updates took care of those as well and I love to see feature adds frequently. Really impressed by how well they take feedback and so far the turn around time for everything is very very good. Love the addition to reporting in last couple of releases. Looking forward to more features as you add. A note to all those one star reviews, I will really suggest, please take a look again as they have addressed most of the issues mentioned here. ### 5/5 — The home credit card ever *2025-04-29, version 1.70.0* Great card - the benefits are amazing and super practical. Tried email as well no response ### 1/5 — So many bugs *2025-03-31, version 1.55.0* App fails to activate card, fails to connect checking account. 🤷‍♂️ And they closed my with no explanation. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam! *2025-12-14, version 1.96.0* After earning nearly 200k points, with no notice, Mesa closed all accounts and locked everyone’s points so they can be transferred to airline/hotel partners. ### 1/5 — 80% of charges got declined. *2025-12-13, version 1.96.0* 80% of my charges got declined, and starting from Dec it goes to 100%. Day care, utilities. No commutation, no timeline, nothing. I had to pay late fees because of that. After 2+ weeks of repeated response saying they are working on it and it’s “temporary”, the card was suddenly closed and what’s worse is there seems to be no way to transfer the points out. Verify my email, fine. Verify my phone number, less fine but ok. After that I’m just sent to a page that says web applications coming soon, apply in the app. WTF… I already feel like I got duped, they could’ve said that up front before harvesting my info. But I go install the app, put in my info again, and I still can’t apply. All I can do is join a waitlist. What a joke. I feel like I got scammed. I uninstalled the app and I’m done with this company. Trust the other one star reviews. It’s a trap. ### 1/5 — Cannot pay/no customer service *2025-09-03, version 1.86.0* I linked my bank account that I use for all my other credit cards through Plaid in the Mesa app. When I try to pay off my statement balance, Mesa returns all my payments, even though I have the funds available in my bank account. This is a Mesa-only problem. I can’t get through to any customer support so now I am just accruing interest and late fees through no fault of my own! Nightmare to apply, issues with the app since before I had the card, same issues persist with the card. Every time I open the app it gives me prompts like I’m signing up for the first time then says my email and phone number are already in use. No idea how I’m going to login to pay off the card I just got. Would love to unapply and cancel this altogether. The only motivation for me was the ability to get points for a high mortgage payment, but my lender won’t accept CC payment. If you are not ready, don’t roll out! ### 1/5 — Waitlisted *2025-07-26, version 1.84.0* Dead waitlisted forever… waste of time ### 1/5 — The customer service…. *2025-07-15, version 1.84.0* I’ve applied for this card twice, but I’ve been denied because Celtic Bank can’t verify my identity even after I submit all the required paperwork. I’ve reached out to customer service about four times on this issue. Every time, I received a copy-and-paste response informing me that I’ll get an email explaining why I was denied, even though I already acknowledged it and what it said. I was also told to apply again in 30 days, even though right now there’s a waitlist to apply. I even requested the bank info so I could get a better understanding of the error, and those parts get completely ignored. ### 1/5 — Nonfunctional app *2025-05-26, version 1.74.0* Entire process from applying to receiving the card was a nightmare. I didn’t even explicitly apply for the card in the app only uploaded 2 of the 4 required documents. After contacting support, the app somehow the application processed itself without my consent. Since I wanted the card I was “fine” that it happened. The card was sent and it doesn’t even activate. I’ve tried to contact support through email phone text and they haven’t responded for two weeks. Now I’m stuck with a useless card on my file. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Some hiccups on sign up but overall great card and coding *2025-12-04, version 1.92.0* Overall this is a great card and the app generally works well. Admittedly I had some difficulties signing up initially but it’s been working great since. It does take a few days to post a payment but not a big deal Also the app codes the bonus earning categories extremely well, I haven’t yet had something code incorrectly based on how I thought it should code ### 5/5 — User friendly app *2025-11-01, version 1.87.0* Easy to earn points, easy to redeem points! ### 5/5 — My experience is real *2025-10-24, version 1.86.0* I’ve heard others have had difficulty applying. For me the process had a small hitch (screen was stuck in the checking application screen) but it resolved within 24hrs. I think the benefits you get from this card for no fee is unmatched! Not sure why in the world this card did not get a 5 star rating from everyone. People who are giving negative rating are the ones who probably did not understood the full earnings potential. There is no other card in the market which gives 3X on day care, Insurance payments, Utilities like water bill, electricity bill, home gas bill and MOST IMPORTANTLY PROPERTY TAX bills. And more over the travel redemption from MESA travel portal is 1.25 cents per point just like chase sapphire preferred card. And it has partner ship with Accor Hotels which has pretty big network in Europe and Asia and each Accor point is worth 2 euro cents and let me clarify you that Euro is expensive than USD. I can keep talking about this over and over but let me tell you if you are a homeowner and you don’t have this card. You are leaving free money on the table. As simple as that. As a side note many say BILT is also planning to give points for mortgage. But BILT doesn’t have the earnings categories that MESA has like all the categories that I mentioned above. ### 5/5 — Love it *2025-07-05, version 1.83.0* Best credit card I’ve had since the sapphire reserve.
