A few features would be useful on iOS. First, background connections and updates. I don’t take the client all the time but I know iOS can connect and receive BLE notifications when app is not in focus. Another one is limited contact list. I think it is okay to let it grow beyond 350 contacts. It would be nice to have about section for contacts as well. ### 3/5 — One Fatal Flaw *2026-06-18, version 1.45.0* As other reviewers have pointed out, the Bluetooth connection between the app and the radio disconnects when the app is closed and the radio must be manually reconnected. I’ve tested multiple radios and the problem persists. I’ve had no problem with the android and web versions of the app. I love this app otherwise so I hope they can get it fixed soon. ### 3/5 — Bluetooth is broken *2026-06-10, version 1.44.0* App under android works perfect. Mesh with meshtastic works perfect. It disconnects from Bluetooth an until we fix that, won’t work well for its intended purpose on iOS ### 4/5 — il faut ‘restaurer les achats’ sur les autres appareils *2026-06-03* j’ai payé le 9,99$ +tx pour éviter les 10 secondes sur mon iPad et encourager les développeurs.. pour activer cela sur vos autres appareils, il faut cliquer sur ‘restaurer les achats’ en bas de la fenêtre qui affiche le 9.99$.. en passant, j’ai un problème en utilisant mon iPad (à jour) sur mon ‘room-serveur’ (à jour) dont l’accès fonctionne très rarement (la fenêtre s’ouvre et disparait en 1/2 seconde).. j’ai hâte que ce soit corrigé, merci.. ### 4/5 — Взлом *2026-03-31* Мошенники похищения аккаунт ### 4/5 — Excellent client *2026-03-22* While this app is an excellent client, especially for BLE and USB connected devices (not to mention its excellent integrated management features!), the WIFI companion node support is problematic. This is the only reason I’m docking one star, as WIFI node support seems like an afterthought. Being instantly disconnected from a WIFI node when the Meshcore app is removed from the users foreground/focus is pretty bothersome. Please keep working on this, the design of meshcore is better the meshtastic on the mesh side. ### 4/5 — Tracking? *2026-03-08, version 1.41.0* I want to track something but there is no mobile coverage and got MeshCore but unlike Meshtastic I can’t auto track it on demand or automatically. Am I missing something . ### 5/5 — Awesome app, but wish it had emoji tap back *2026-02-24* A very well designed app, but I would like to see the support of Emoji tap backs like in Meshtastic , besides that works really good would be awesome if you guys could make it compatible with the Apple Watch ### 2/5 — Kills battery & won't fetch data *2026-02-18, version 1.40.0* On the latest iOS on iPhone 13 with firmware 1.12 on the Heltec V4 boards, this app shows as 'logged in as admin' on all boards (green message logged in as admin) but then displays zero data and throws the red error 'failed to load repeater stats' for no logical reason. Rebooted & reflashed boards to no effect. Works perfectly on all Android devices, won't work on both iPhones and an iPad. ### 5/5 — It just works *2026-02-15* Up and running in no time flat. Then I told a co-worker to try out Meshcore… minutes later I get a txt “even a dummy like me did it in one minute”. Works incredibly well. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No network *2026-07-17* Flashed my device to Meshcore to compare to Meshtastic. There were no other users in the very large city in Florida where I live. In addition to draining the device battery much faster than Meshtastic and not finding any other nodes or repeater’s it made it very difficult to reflash back to Meshtastic. It does not matter if it is technically better, it there are no users it is worthless. Maybe in time but not there yet. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work for me *2026-07-16* Attempted to pair my new Heltec V4 boards without success (five times). App would ask me to enter the pin, which I did, then gave a red warning box saying it had failed and I would need to forget the device via BLE settings. First time, I thought I had made a typo on the pin. After four more times, I’m sure it’s the App. ### 1/5 — Constantly drops connection *2026-05-10* I will update my review when it’s fixed but it keeps disconnecting from the device which makes it useless. I want to be able to connect to device in my pocket and forget about it. I’m going to constantly miss messages which makes this useless as a communication device if it doesn’t relay messages to me. ### 1/5 — Low quality UI *2026-05-05* Lots of defects and issues: - losing connection to companion, have to constantly restart app - different screen and UI to manage companion and reporter - blocks important functionally under wait timer, forces to pay money ### 1/5 — locked in WiFi-connection attempts *2026-04-04* If you accidentally choose to connect via WiFi, you never get back to the possibility to connect by BLE. That's unacceptable! ### 1/5 — No Function *2026-03-13* iPadOS 17.7.10 Pairing in App after pairing key input: Device Information time out - Device Information shows up and disapears in App preferences randomly - “connecting“ displayed anyway - NO channel or contacts sync AT ALL Heltec V3 meshcore 1.41 No problem with PC Bluetooth Connection. Interferes with native Bluetooth on iOS devices. Only visible in App - Then error - NO Function at all - then visible in Preferences - no pairing possible until removed from known devices - loop ### 1/5 — Slightly disappointed *2026-01-16* App keeps disconnecting in the background without notifying me. Extremely annoying that I have to keep babysitting the app every 5 minutes - I’d appreciate it if the app just kept working in the background and if it didn’t that I would get notified. App works fine but everything good is completely swept away by the app not working for longer than 5 minutes ### 1/5 — Bluetooth issue *2025-10-16, version 1.31.0* I am using a Heltec v3 flashed using the latest firmware with Bluetooth, when you try and connect to this you constantly get a “failed to fetch device info” even though your PIN code you are using is identical to what’s on the Heltec v3 ### 1/5 — No way of connecting *2025-10-07, version 1.29.0* App sees the Bluetooth device but no way of connecting - waiting stage never moves to something else… ### 1/5 — Crashes immediately *2025-06-04, version 1.16.1* Was initially impressed that this was available for my iPhone 5S, since such a small (and low value) device would be an ideal companion to a cheap Lora device. However it simply crashes on loading.
