## What is MeshGlaze?

Paint 3D models for multicolor printing, right on your iPhone or iPad. Import an STL or 3MF, choose your colors, and paint with your finger, or with Apple Pencil on iPad.

All painting tools are free. A one-time purchase unlocks 3MF and OBJ export. No subscription.

MAKE THE MODEL YOURS
• Paint directly on the surface with round, square and flat brushes.
• On iPad, use Apple Pencil pressure to vary stroke size.
• Fill connected areas, parts, matching colors or the whole model.
• Adjust Edge fill to control how color spreads across sharp edges.
• Choose Detailed mode for finer painted details.
• Build a palette of up to 8 colors and pick colors from a reference image.
• Rotate, zoom and undo as you explore your color scheme.

FROM MODEL TO PRINT WORKFLOW
Import STL and 3MF files, including models that already have painted colors. Export a painted 3MF or an OBJ with material and texture files to continue in your desktop slicer or 3D art tools.

Before printing, check the imported colors and assign filaments in your slicer. Color handling depends on the slicer and export format.

PAINT WHEREVER YOU ARE
Paint offline, with no account, ads or tracking. Automatic saving lets you resume your current painting. Start with the included sample model or import your own.

FREE PAINTING. ONE-TIME EXPORT UNLOCK.
Import and paint for free. The optional in-app purchase unlocks all export formats. No recurring payments.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.1 — 2026-09-30

MeshGlaze is now on iPhone.

• Paint your 3D models on iPhone, in portrait or landscape, with the same brushes, fill tools, project gallery and export as on iPad.

• Already unlocked export on iPad? It is unlocked on iPhone too, with the same Apple Account.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-25

Model Painter is now MeshGlaze. A new name for your 3D painting app.

• Project gallery: Create projects, browse previews and switch between paintings. Search, rename and duplicate your projects.

• Projects automatically save your painting, undo/redo history, palette, view and reference image. Your previously saved painting is added to the gallery when you update.

• 3MF files exported from MeshGlaze reopen as projects, with the original model, settings and painting.

• Pick colors straight from your reference image. Tap the eyedropper, drag to find a color, then lift to use it in your selected palette slot.

• Use Edge fill and adjust the angle to control which sharp edges stop the fill. Higher angles let the color spread farther across connected surfaces.

• Choose Detailed in Settings → Painting mode to paint finer areas on large triangles. Your added detail is preserved in every export.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-04

• New app icon and launch screen
• Small fixes and polish

### 1.0 — 2026-08-18

No release notes.
