Regardless of Met Éireann's politics, there remains 32 counties in Ireland. As I write, it’s pouring rain outside, the forecast text says it should be playing rain, the rain forecasts says it will be raining, but the symbols show grey skies and 0% probability of rain. Perhaps some use from the “latest satellite” which is just a 2D render of the island; not a satellite image. ### 3/5 — Ok ish *2019-06-15* Lots of “data” but I much preferred the older app. Why? Because it had a nice simple visual layout with instant graphics of cloud / rain / sun / wind viewing. Simple is key. For the Met Éireann, this is a very poor app, and requires a lot of updating and modernising. Other than that it's quite a good app. ### 2/5 — Very inaccurate *2026-06-02* I live in Co Donegal and the forecast is rarely accurate. I tend to use the BBC NI forecast which is much better. Also a map showing predicted weather over the next few hours would be good. All I can see is a map for whatever has already happened in last hour or two.
