### 4/5 — Not as accurate

*2026-08-29, version 3.60.0*

Insists upon giving us the weather for shearston not North Petherton . The weather is different.

### 5/5 — Simple and reliable

*2026-08-27, version 3.60.0*

Mostly accurate interpretations and a simple UI. My go to for a summarised overview of the days weather. Would definitely recommend this for the day to day weather information

### 3/5 — Saving a location (not)

*2026-08-27, version 3.59.0*

Today, when there’s a warning and I’m setting a new location I can’t see “Save location” any more even after scrolling.

### 4/5 — Accurate Forecasts

*2026-08-27, version 3.59.0*

I have been using the Met Office app for a couple of years now. I have found the forecasts to be extremely accurate making it easier to plan tasks outdoors. I use the app when I travel too.

### 5/5 — Weather

*2026-08-27, version 3.59.0*

Great app very accurate

### 3/5 — Fair to moderate

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

I find BBC weather and Acu weather more accurate but I do always refer to Met Office.

### 5/5 — Top Weather App

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

Easily the best weather app. Intuitive interface and easy to understand. Most importantly the forecasts are very accurate.

### 5/5 — Ur my go to app

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

Best app on the planet for me wouldn’t trust anyone else thank u for all ways bein here x

### 5/5 — No Fair Weather Friend ...

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

... because the Met Office app warns you when bad/cold/generally 'orrible weather is due as well. Far more accurate than other weather apps, its only fault is to forecast 30% rain in our town which sometimes doesn't turn up, so even the bad times are good! Use it all the time.

### 3/5 — Needs work!

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

Reasonably accurate but often gets it wrong. The current
location for my home is several miles away from where it should be and I had the same issue on the android app too. Apple weather and pixel weather has my current location spot on.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

The content is very good indeed but the UI needs much improvement as per a multitude of reviews. I’m not going to feed back any more comments. For necessary improvements please reference the UI of the old version app.

### 2/5 — Not always correct

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

I have 2 weather apps on my phone & unfortunately the met office is more wrong than right

### 4/5 — Thats better

*2026-08-26, version 3.59.0*

Getting better at predictions at last! Need a link to inshore waters on this app though.

### 5/5 — Excellent weather data

*2026-08-25, version 3.59.0*

I always find the weather reports excellent and rarely wrong.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-25, version 3.59.0*

Fun to keep track of

### 4/5 — Weather

*2026-08-25, version 3.59.0*

Very good.

### 5/5 — Weather App

*2026-08-23, version 3.59.0*

I frequently use the weather app to see what the weather is going to be like where I’m fishing and it is helpful because it is nearly always accurate.

### 5/5 — Only need this weather app

*2026-08-22, version 3.59.0*

As someone who has a business that is often dependent on the weather this app is vital!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unreliable and Pointless

*2026-08-28, version 3.60.0*

By not giving quantity of rain this app it useless. The Apple app it more accurate, free and gives much more information.

### 1/5 — Efficient

*2026-08-23, version 3.59.0*

The app is easy to use and seems very accurate.

### 1/5 — Another downgrade

*2026-08-22, version 3.59.0*

Update Aug 2026: still no sign of “developers” (a loose term in this instance) actually listening to users. Still just as awkward to use. And another thing - in the old version you could go to your saved location, click on a future day, and be taken straight to that day in that location. In the new execration, you get taken to today’s date in that location - rather disorienting if the future day’s symbol had been, say, rain, but there’s no sign of rain for today’s weather.

Original: Having finally been forced to change to the latest version, I’m glad I put it off as long as I could. This new one is terrible. Great big chunky icons taking up far too much space, so there’s less detail. Gusts are way down the page in a separate section that requires a separate set of scrolling. Warnings are hidden away, radar doesn’t work anywhere near as well. Why not leave things as they were instead of getting a work experience student in to come and wreck what was actually working?

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-19, version 3.59.0*

They’ve removed the ability to pay to permanently remove ads and also there’s a met office banner at the bottom of the app for some reason. Terrible

### 1/5 — Names of locations....

*2026-08-19, version 3.59.0*

Location names are still wrong, telling me I'm somewhere I am not...avoid!!!

### 1/5 — Old phone

*2026-08-19, version 2.46.10*

Just because I have an old phone now means I can’t see the weather forecast from the Met office.
This is a pretty poor looking after the local population situation to be in.

I do wish these big tech companies would stop upgrading and stop disenabling older devices to look at the weather.

### 1/5 — Location inaccurate.

*2026-08-14, version 3.58.0*

A new app, countless updates and no fix for the inaccurate location bug. My location is nowhere near where I am. Pathetic.

### 1/5 — Severe data sync latency ruins outdoor planning

*2026-08-09, version 3.57.0*

The data pipeline feeding this app is completely unfit for purpose. It constantly serves up stale, hours-old snapshot files that fail to adapt when a weather front accelerates in the real world. Today in Durham, the app confidently predicted light showers for 11:00 AM, but a fast-moving front brought heavy rain hours early. The app timeline completely failed to update its rigid blocks to match live radar. Until the developers fix the server syncing latency and cloud overwrites, this app is useless for outdoor planning.

### 1/5 — Missing locations

*2026-08-06, version 3.53.0*

The map includes locations such as Bath, Oxford, Stoke but inexplicably manages to exclude Liverpool! I’m sure there will be visitors to Liverpool, of which there are millions, who aren’t familiar with the geography of the uk who may be looking for weather information when visiting and look at the map on the app and wonder where it is! Surely it can’t be that difficult to add a major city to the map? Not sure why it’s not there anyway?

### 1/5 — Locations still wrong...

*2026-07-30, version 3.53.0*

The name of the location I'm at is totally wrong, and even the name of the stadium is wrong 😂, goodness me how embarrassing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

Nice handy app easy to use and read overall really good

### 5/5 — A developer that listens to feedback

*2026-08-31, version 3.60.0*

It took a while, but a bunch of suggestions have been implemented, greatly improving the usability of the app. It’s nice a developer listens to feedback.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and accurate

*2026-08-31, version 3.60.0*

The title says it all

### 5/5 — I rely on Met Office

*2026-08-29, version 3.60.0*

### 5/5 — Met is reliable

*2026-08-29, version 3.60.0*

Met Office way more reliable than BBC App, good graphics to communicate simply and quickly.. really like the Weather map. Proud of the British office, The Meteorological Office.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and informative

*2026-08-27, version 3.60.0*
