## What is METAR Decoder?

▶ Turn cryptic aviation weather into plain language. Enter an airport code and the raw METAR and TAF sit side by side with a full decoding, so you never wonder what an abbreviation means again.

▶ See the flight category at a glance. Every report is color coded VFR, MVFR, IFR or LIFR so you read conditions in a second.

▶ Tap any token in the raw report and get a clear explanation of exactly that field. It doubles as a study mode for the codes on your checklist.

▶ Wind, visibility and cloud layers are drawn out visually. Switch units between knots and m/s, statute miles and metres, inHg and hPa to match how you fly.

▶ Save favorite airports, cache the last reports for offline reading, and work in your language across 25 locales. Data comes from public aviation weather sources.

This app is a training and reference aid. Always use an official weather briefing for real flight decisions.
