It is not a substitute for an official weather briefing or for the pilot-in-command's judgement. ## Pricing and in-app purchases Base price: Free. **Subscriptions** | Subscription | Price | Period | | --- | --- | --- | | MetarTaf 3D Pro | $39.99 | per year | | Pro Monthly | $4.99 | per month | ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 3.7.3 — 2026-09-11 • Day and night mode now applies across the whole app — meteogram, altitude cross-section, briefing and the 3D atmosphere panel • The cross-section sky is drawn with a night palette in dark mode • The briefing panel follows the app mode instead of the hour you picked • Map basemap switched to a calm canvas style: wind barbs, flight category colours and SIGMET areas no longer disappear into the terrain • 3D atmosphere opens truly full screen ### 3.7.2 — 2026-09-11 Altitude cross-section rebuilt: • Wind direction, speed, gust and level temperature every 2,000 ft up to 15,000 ft, then every 5,000 ft • One standard sky — the dark/light blue banding is gone • Volumetric cloud layers that darken with real coverage • Precipitation drawn by type with its own colour and pattern (rain, drizzle, snow, hail, sleet, storm) plus fog • Thick 0°C freezing level line with labels • Turbulence altitude band shown for the hour you tap • Larger, easier-to-read text on the selected-hour summary ### 3.6.9 — 2026-09-10 Maintenance update • No visible changes in this release. • Improved in-app usage measurement, so we can see which screens are actually used and fix what gets in the way. • No personal data, account information or location was added. ### 3.6.8 — 2026-09-09 Free plan and share card • The free plan is now permanent: 15 lookups and 5 airfields a day; decoder, 3D clouds, runway and map are open. • NEW: share the 3D cloud profile as an image with one tap. • Wider METAR code coverage; vertical-visibility (OVX) ceiling bug fixed. • Meteogram tab and translation fixes. ### 3.6.7 — 2026-09-08 The weather itself is now drawn correctly • When the sky is reported obscured (VV/OVX) no ceiling was found and the briefing wrongly read "no ceiling — visual approach suitable".
