The Developer said you can do that on the web version by just clicking on the runway, but the App can't do that, yet. It should have been the other way around: Allow the App to do that first. Easy to use. Well thought out, happily switches between portrait and landscape, and dynamically resizes the elements into varying column widths for split screen on iPad. Makes a great addition to my sim flight deck.. ### 3/5 — Missing airports METAR and widgets *2024-05-08* Hi I liked the appearance I have to say. Great design, easy to use. But I am surprised that one of the busiest airport YSBK is not there and when I select it, it gives me wrong information for the METAR and taf.. it uses the nearby airport instead. This is not good and I don’t think that’s difficult to include like other similar software? The name of the app is metar and tag. It should include as much as the airports who provide it to the public. Hope you could add those important airports weather information? That’s very important! Looking forward to your reply. Home Screen widgets would make this my go-to app for aviation weather. ### 5/5 — Up-to-date!! *2024-04-15* I am a sailor. Mostly I get forecasts that are hours old. METAR data is never that stale. ### 4/5 — Ok, but needs an update for history. *2024-02-10, version 2.5.0* In principle this is very good, well laid out and easy to understand graphics. But there seems to be a problem with older metars. As it stands it displays about seven hours of metars and should I want to check a full day it tells me at the bottom of the page to hit Browse Older Metars. When I do that I’m redirected to a blank website which isn’t helpful. So it needs fixing or maybe it might be possible to give an option for the last twelve hours in the main section. Ich bin allerdings extrem enttäuscht. Die App hängt sich andauernd auf und man kann sie praktisch fast nicht nutzen! Fast 6€ dafür zu verlangen ist wirklich nicht in Ordnung! ### 1/5 — Dangerous and Misleading *2023-05-31, version 2.4.0* I don’t know if the northern hemisphere is any different but here in Australia this app (to the best of my knowledge), only gives capital city weather for the whole of that state. Some of these airports are several hundreds of kilometres away and experiencing totally different weather! Nice idea but until dedicated links are established to other airports within the states this is completely misleading and dangerous. ### 1/5 — Comment *2022-12-24* Does not work in Russia. ### 2/5 — Disable Autocorrect and it’d be 5 stars *2025-02-10* If this app disabled autocorrect on text input for the ICAO identifier search, this app would be 5x better. Developer, please just search for “Disable auto correction of UITextField” on stack overflow. Small change will make a big difference. Currently, major airports like “KORD” (Chicago O Hare) will auto correct to “LORD” and even if you click “KORD” in your auto correct suggestions, it will auto add a space “KORD “ which will show no results, so you just can’t win. Small change, please please please look into it. ### 2/5 — Ok as far as it goes *2025-02-04, version 2.6.1* I find it frustrating that the US style of reporting weather is used especially on a EU based app. According to ICAO there is only VMC and IMC. Marginal VFR is VFR. IFR is IFR except when it’s SVFR. Not worth the fee however. ### 2/5 — Pretty but wrong *2023-12-06, version 2.5.0* Looks nice but for the airports I use, the information is completely wrong usually. The app mostly shows clear skies everywhere. ### 2/5 — Really dodgy. *2022-11-22, version 2.2.2* App attempts to locate nearest TAF. Mine is 300km away and the other side of the mountains. It even remotely useful. YMML is nothing like YWGT. Ever! Dangerous algorithm. ### 3/5 — Great App But… *2025-12-17* Great app, but don’t make the mistake I did of donating $15 on their website to get an ad free website. It continuously requires some process to “make sure you’re human” and then required me to log in to get my favorite airports and units of measurement. But, I often use this daily as a quick reference, and can almost always count on it 100%. What I love the most is it decodes the METARs and TAFs and puts it in a very nice visual format that is easy to read and interpret.
