Switched flight schools and needed to change my primary METAR widget. Now when I go to press (Choose) on the “Airport” option it doesn’t allow me to select any airports. I could be doing something wrong but I’ve tried uninstalling and everything and it won’t work. Still missing some airports when searching (KMOB, KTLH) but otherwise a very good app worth the money. **Developer response:** Please update to version 1.5! METAR updates have been restored, and you should see data flowing again once you update. Our data provider (the Aviation Weather Center) made some breaking changes to the API we use to retrieve METARs. We've made the corresponding updates on our end, as well as some other small changes to better support iOS17 and make it easier to self-diagnose issues with METAR data. I use the color coded widgets on the iPad to view lots of airports at a glance, and the plain text widgets on my iPhone for my home airport. Sure I could just pull up ForeFlight, but the widgets looks really cool and keep my weather interpretation sharp. ### 4/5 — Missing Runway Wind *2021-09-29, version 1.4* Would be a significantly improved app if the wind indicator showed the wind compared to each runway at the airport. ### 4/5 — Decent app *2021-05-23, version 1.3* Decent app does exactly as advertised. Accurate information for the majority of Canadian airports including where I’m based out of at CYPQ. I’m glad it lets you choose to see a “modern” and old school version of a METAR, this would have helped me practice as a student pilot. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t put an option to view TAFs as well as METARs as the two almost coincide with eachother. Still a good app as it is and is worth the 3 dollar investment. ### 4/5 — A little pricey for what you get but otherwise works like you’d expect *2021-02-19, version 1.3* Current aviation student and I love having the METAR on my phone screen easily accessible. The only things I’d like to see are easy access to the TAF (maybe if you tap on the widget and it brings you to the app) and maybe an option for a wide widget as well (some of those METARs are pretty long). Even as a free app I wouldn’t use it. There’s cheaper and better options out there. Only airports starting with “K” can be added. Adding airports like “I69” doesn’t seem to work. 2. The widget doesn’t update regularly. Most time the widget displays old information and you have to open the app to see the updated METAR. If both of these bugs were fixed this would be a 5-start purchase, but not worth your time in its current form. ### 3/5 — Airport Choose Not Working *2025-03-15, version 1.7* First couple widgets I made work great. I love them! I'm trying to add a third now and it won't let me select an airport. Tried restarting my phone and that didn't do it. Not sure what's going on but I can't find anywhere to submit feedback. Hopefully they figure it out soon but another review from a few couple ago mentioned the same thing. ### 3/5 — Does the job, needs an update *2022-10-31, version 1.4* Great lightweight app that does what it says. The UI and UX are well done and look leaps and bounds better than the competition. However, this app haven’t been updated in a year. I’d love to see integration with iOS 16 Lock Screen widgets.
