Once my acne started worsening, there was no support whatsoever. The subscriptions change without notifying you so you’re stuck with products that don’t work for you. It’s gimmicky with no transparency when you’re actually trying to help your acne. I will update this as i go along right off the bat. The quiz got my shade perfect shipping took kind of forever in today’s day and age that might just be me personally, but I’ve kind of forgot I even ordered it. Secondly, I’m somebody who enjoys a thinner foundation and this is definitely a medium consistency. I don’t know if that is different for everybody, but I didn’t let the app know I prefer a thinner buildable coverage. This is meant to cover acne so I guess I could’ve expected that. I’ve only used it once or twice so my opinion on the product I don’t believe is tested enough to make a fair judgment, but I havenot quite mature skin in my 30s so for a teen i can see this being. Life saver. Older gen. To be determined . ### 2/5 — Not as customizable as advertised *2026-03-28, version 2.4.0* The products are okay, but the subscription isn’t as adjustable and customizable as it seems and is presented. Once you start, your treatment kit is basically fixed and isn’t easily adjusted based on results or how your skin reacts. I went two months without hearing anything from my provider based on my weekly check-ins and had no adjustments despite no results. I reached out when my acne wasn’t improving and was told to keep using the same products and that no results or even purging during month 3 was norming and that they couldn’t themselves as medical providers adjust or switch my products. This was slightly frustrating because the subscription is expensive and I was under the impression for two months that it was adjustable based on photo check ins. Just be aware this is more of a preset system than a truly customized acne treatment. ### 2/5 — Don’t really see the need to download the app *2026-03-16, version 2.1.0* It’s actually funny, you download the app under the impression that you’ll have a care team to help you navigate through this process. Well, aside from th daily pics and the once a week “check ins”, which honestly is just another pic you upload and reiterate that you’re committed to the routine prescribed. Try reaching out to them with any question? You have to email. Don’t want to email, just want to shoot them a message in your channel? Sorry, can’t do it. So again, don’t really understand the need to download the app just to activate my treatment and upload daily pics while I need to email them about any treatment related question. ### 1/5 — App not working *2026-03-07, version 2.0.9* Can’t log in for my treatment progress. I tried many times and no one responded to my email ### 1/5 — Scam for sure *2026-03-05, version 2.0.9* I started Methodiq five weeks ago. I was really hopeful because I liked the idea of the AI and having a provider who would give personalized suggestions. But by week two, I ran out of the Dermacil moisturizer. By week three, I ran out of Duolaq. I applied everything exactly as the instructions said, yet the products didn’t last until the next scheduled refill. Since I ran out of Duolaq, I started using Dapinaq, thinking that because it’s for more sensitive skin, it wouldn’t be an issue. Switching to Dapinaq took me from mostly clear skin to the worst breakouts of my entire life in less than a week. You can literally see this happening in the weekly check‑in photos. When I reached out to Methodiq—mostly to complain that the provider hadn’t reached out at all during the five weeks and hadn’t responded to any of my weekly check-ins—they kept replying with very generic, pre-written messages like: “The provider offers expert product insights, usage recommendations, and ongoing support to help you achieve your results safely and effectively.” I responded explaining that none of that had happened, because the provider never answered a single message. Then they finally sent me a message saying, “Hello, it’s your care team. I’ve reviewed your weekly check‑in submissions. Stop using Duolaq and start using Dapinaq to solve your issues.” Which told me immediately they hadn’t read a single one of my messages, because that’s not what I said at all—and if they had reviewed my check‑in photos, they would’ve seen how dramatically my skin was getting worse after switching to Dapinaq. This is a scam. Don’t use it. Don’t waste your money like I did. Don’t mess up your skin like I did. Learn from my mistake of getting influenced by the internet and ads. I’m quitting, but I’m keeping the app so I can show my dermatologist exactly how their products messed up my skin and to track how bad it’s gotten. This has been the worst experience. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-03-01, version 2.0.8* This definitely seems scammy. Providers never respond to check ins or questions and you can’t even use the app or messages until your product arrives. There is limited information on products. I took the online quiz and indicated that I was breastfeeding. They prescribed a routine that i presumed was BF friendly since I indicated this however after the order was placed I received an auto response from the provider with instructions and indicated not to use if breastfeeding or pregnant. I was unable to respond to the message until my order arrived and then unable to respond until I had a weekly check in after using the product a week. It’s been several weeks and I still cannot message my provider nor did they respond to any of my checkins. Considering they are medically prescribing items they should have a better ethical standard to uphold. Additionally I agree with other reviewers that it is very cult like with language and reminders for check-ins and the commitment they want to using the products despite lack of provider response. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t tell if it work or not!! *2026-02-26, version 2.0.8* NEVER RECEIVED IT!!!! ### 1/5 — Scammers *2026-02-15, version 2.0.6* Scammers. The product was off and they save your photo. I tried to return they’re telling me that’s it’s already been returned and I didn’t even get the return label. I tried reaching out so many times they answered once with a question and didn’t hear from them again. The product is not good at all and has a weird smell. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. ### 1/5 — Bad and Worse *2026-01-15, version 2.0.2* Both the products and the app itself are unhelpful. The app itself does NOT allow you to take a picture of the side of your face/cheeks. My acne is only on my cheeks yet I can’t take a photo of the areas that I actually need help with! The products themselves made my pimples multiply. One of the pimple patches left a dark mark on my cheek. The Duolaq gave me a bunch of little bumps on both sides of my head as well as made the pimples I already had even redder and bigger than before. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-07-28, version 2.18.0* I had a horrible experience. The app never worked for me. Before I started the subscription because they primed to send me an example and them they were going to charge me monthly installments, but I never got the sample and when si cancelled the subscription they still charged me. They never respond quickly and there is no a phone number where can you can reach out. ### 1/5 — Put a hold on on my bank account for product, without permission *2026-07-26, version 2.17.0* Agreed to $5 charge, then they put a hold on full price without explanation. $100 minus just talking to them. I never received a confirmation email—only a text message. When I tried to log into the app to check my delivery status, the system wouldn't let me in. I have reached out to customer service but have not received a response. I am deeply concerned that I am being charged for a product I haven't even received, especially since contacting support seems impossible ### 1/5 — TRASH APP, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A SCAM!! *2026-06-03, version 2.12.3* FIRST - I selected makeup, and then the makeup didn't match me, tried to return it and it subscribed me for skin care AND makeup and showed no way to return or get my money back for the wrong color makeup!! SECOND - I CANCELLED THE SUBSCRIPTIONS IT SUBSCRIBED ME FOR WITHOUT CONSENT, YET THEYRE STILL SENDING PACKAGES AND CHARGING MY ACCOUNT. Yeah I can do the online but it doesn’t have the tracking feature I wanted to use. I have contacted the support email and they had no fixes. If it doesn’t work in the next week I am forced to return the products. I have severe ADHD and the daily check in and reminder to take a photo has kept me in track and compliant with treatment. My it’s only been a week and I have noticed a definite improvement in the smoothness of my skin. During this first week I had a small breakout which is perfectly normal btw not a reason to stop using. Why you might ask? Because treatments are supposed to do this when you start them it means it’s working and it’s purging your skin of the impurities so the break out in the first week is a good thing. I have noticed some burning and redness and my skin has started to peel slightly in those areas. Again… this is a completely normal side effect when you start any treatment. The side effects have been tolerable. Yes I hated the zit that suddenly appeared in my chin but it cleaned up with a quickness and knowing that the product is purging the impurities from my skin made me not so insecure about it. Plus I got free pimple patches in my treatment box which also helped and makes me not feel so insecure. Before using this product my pores looked so huge and I hated being able to see them. Now they are barely noticeable! Black heads esp on my nose and chin have also significantly improved. My skin feels so smooth and I can’t wait to see what my skin looks like long term. What I also like about this program is that a provider looks at your weekly daily photos and analyzes your skin and makes adjustments to your treatment as needed. No treatment I have ever tried has done that.
