Just downloaded it again, and the developer has made many great improvements! I'm excited that you can save tempo presets and time signature preferences. Also, I think it is great that it has a tuning fork, though it would be better if it were one touch from the main screen. If you are a professional musician and need an accurate metronome, don't get this one. ### 1/5 — Pretty and Useless *2011-12-09* Unfortunately, this met's only positive feature is its visually pleasing design. Every other feature is lacking: - the sounds are all far-too-soft variations of the same, muddled tone. - the touch functionality of the UI actually makes it terrifically difficult to accurately and efficiently choose your time and pulse. - the menu has a loud , high pitched beeping when pressing buttons -the only loud thing about it- which cannot be toggled on or off. That being said, why, you ask, does this app have consistent 5-star ratings? Because the devs put a color scheme in that can only be "unlocked" by rating the app with 5 stars... Brilliant. There are good met apps out there, this is not one of them. ### 2/5 — Not really a tuner *2025-05-15, version 5.4* The title says this is a tuner, but it’s actually a metronome. There is a very small feature where it will play a note that you can tune to. BOO HISS. ### 2/5 — Decent; could be refined a lot. *2013-06-25* Pros: -nice design (so few metronome apps are!) -great sound options (all sound very natural) -not a lot or extraneous junk like other metronome apps have Cons: -not built for full 4" iPhone 5 screen -play/pause is tiny (remove the counter & make the play/pause bigger... or at least let the user swipe the pendulum to start it) -pain to access the tap -swiping in menu needs too much horizontal swipe to move menu pages (you have to swipe all the way from one side to the other - not like any other app) -SOUND only active if phone is unmuted - this is the first metronome app I've seen that doesn't work in mute! -distracting "minimis" logo is right over the pendulum! C'mon, put it in the corner, or not at all! Overall, I'm happy, but with a few tweaks, this app could be amazing. ### 2/5 — Fix the app *2012-01-29* I have issues with the metronome freezing. When this happens I must restart my phone to get it working properly again. Now I have encountered it missing clicks at random. When this happens, every 3 or 4 clicks gets dropped. Please fix this I love this app besides these bugs! ### 4/5 — Beautiful app that gets better *2014-06-23* I love the design and the stability of the beats. The app gets better with each updates. I use it for myself and for my students. Just small details that I wish the developer could add is have the 440Hz A to be more continuous sounding and that there are more frequencies ranging from 440 to 446Hz. Another wish I have is having a more diverse ticking sounds. Currently, only the default sound is audible enough to play on top of the metronome. Other sounds are not as attractive as the default.
