## What is Metriq?

Metriq turns everyday movement into a game you play with friends, family, and coworkers. Connect Apple Health and compete on steps, distance, calories, flights, exercise minutes, and streaks so consistency finally sticks.

Why Metriq works
• Social pressure that helps you show up
• Clear goals, visible progress, and streak mechanics
• Friendly competition that's actually fun

Core features
• Leaderboards: live standings for every competition, updated automatically from Apple Health.
• Four formats: Ranked, Race, Mission, and Streak. Create your own or join a friend's.
• Campaigns: walk Everest and Mount Fuji with your real steps, on your own, as a team Mission, or in a Race with friends.
• Streaks: protect your streak with gentle daily reminders.
• Groups: run private competitions with friends, family, or coworkers, with a single invite link.
• Progress: today's rings and weekly charts.
• Recaps: every finished competition gets a results card you can share.
• Home screen widgets: your standings and today's progress at a glance.
• Apple Health integration: reads steps, distance, active energy, flights climbed, and exercise minutes to power scores and leaderboards, plus stand hours if you turn on activity sharing.

Privacy-first
Your Apple Health data is read on your device. Only daily totals are sent to Metriq: the ones needed to score your competitions (for example, your step count for the day) and, only if you turn on activity sharing, the ones your friends see. They are never sold or shared with advertisers.

Metriq Pro (optional)
Metriq is free to use. Metriq Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly, that unlocks:
• Create as many competitions as you want (free: 2 at a time)
• As many campaigns at once as you want (free: 2 at a time)
• Up to 100 people in a competition (free: 10)
• Any length (free: up to 7 days, or 14 for Streaks)
• Competitions that repeat automatically, round after round

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.5 — 2026-10-27

Mount Fuji is here: walk from Lake Kawaguchi to the summit through four seasons, with animals and secrets to find on the way. A new Discover page shows every trail, including the ones coming soon, and you can suggest the next one. Race results now show your own numbers, a day-by-day chart of everyone's climb and who reached each place first. Also: pin your favourite campaigns, rename them, start one from the new + button, and many fixes.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-10-25

Campaigns: climb Everest with your steps, from Lukla to the summit. Go solo, team up on a Mission, or Race your friends. Your hiker walks a painted trail and collects places on the way, and a new widget shows your climb on your home screen and lock screen. Also: a notification when a friend accepts your request, your past competitions in Your history, and many fixes.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-10-22

Streak freezes: with Metriq Pro, give everyone freezes that cover a missed day. Share stickers: put your result on your own photo. Invite links: copy or reset them, and with Pro choose who joins. Now in Portuguese, German, French and Argentine Spanish. Plus a lighter look and many fixes.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-10-15

Your calendar: every day of the month with your goal days in blue. Open it from Profile, or tap the month on Home. Pick any dates to see just those days, share a picture of them, or export them as a spreadsheet. Ranked competitions can now be made without a daily goal: whoever moves the most wins. Plus clearer names under Who has moved today, and many small fixes. Free shows this month and last month; Metriq Pro opens your whole history.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-12

A new start for new people. See your own week of steps and pick your daily goals before you even sign up, then finish with your first race: against a friend, a few people, a streak, or your own last week. Type your own goal numbers. Share your activity with friends if you want to: you are asked once, and nothing is shared unless you say yes. A livelier app, with motion on the screens that were standing still. Plus many fixes to sign-up, invites and goals.
