## What is MetroEye?

MetroEye is a metronome you can see.
An eye at the center of the screen follows every beat and blinks on the downbeat — lock onto the timing with your eyes, not just your ears.

■ Latency offset — for players in headphones
The click you hear is never exactly where the app thinks it is: output latency and touch delay push it off by a fixed amount. MetroEye lets you dial that out in 10 ms steps, right on the play screen, while the metronome is still running. Nudge − or + until the click sits where your ear expects it.

■ Two ways to start
· Current Tempo — tap to set any speed on the spot
· Preset Tempo — play along to a saved tempo sequence

■ Preset sequences
Group several sections (BPM + time signature) into one preset. While playing, a TAP switches to the next section at the end of the bar.

■ Play screen
TAP and STOP sit one above the other at the same size, so you never hunt for a button mid-take. STOP leaves the screen where it is — press START to resume at the same tempo, or just tap four beats to set a new one.

■ Fine control
· Time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/4
· Subdivisions: quarter, eighth, triplet, sixteenth
· Volume

■ More
· 11 languages, auto-selected · Fully offline · Free · No ads · No sign-up

See the beat with MetroEye.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.7 — 2026-08-05

· Play screen redesigned — TAP and STOP are the same size, one above the other
· STOP no longer leaves the screen — press START to resume, or tap four beats for a new tempo
· Latency offset now works, and can be nudged in 10 ms steps while playing
· Fixed the keyboard covering the name field when renaming a preset
· Fixed the play screen layout on iPad in landscape

### 1.1.4 — 2026-08-02

· The App Store now lists all supported languages correctly

### 1.1.3 — 2026-08-01

· Language support is now listed correctly on the App Store

### 1.1.2 — 2026-07-25

Louder, clearer click sound. Added a headphone latency dial so you can line the clicks up with what you actually hear, plus one-tap auto calibration: tap along with the clicks eight times and the app sets the timing for itself. The dial applies only when headphones are connected and is ignored on the speaker.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-19

Improved Bluetooth timing and reliability. Fixed a delay on the first play after the screen turns off, locked tap tempo to the beat you tapped so the clicks land where you expect, fixed playback not resuming after stopping, and corrected a layout issue where the slider overlapped the stop button on shorter screens.
