The ads keep appearing and cannot be turned off. I was at the Shanghai subway station trying to look up my route and spent over five minutes struggling to get rid of the ads, which made it impossible to plan my journey. This is a terrible way to monetize an app. ### 3/5 — Excellent map, awful ads *2024-07-04* The maps are great but the adverts are highly annoying. Most of the adverts are Chinese which means they are more annoying than normal adverts. It is also hard to close the ads especially when the ‘close’ button is the same color as the advert. For Shanghai, I am not able to access anything on the metro. When I open the app, I can only get to a TaoBao application, wanting me to buy things. I reinstalled it and now when I open it, I can only get to something wanting me to buy insurance.
