BUILT FOR TIMING
The click is scheduled on the audio clock, not on a JavaScript timer, so it does not drift over the length of a song. Taps are timestamped from the touch itself, so the tempo you get is what your hand did — not what the interface managed to process.

It plays alongside your backing track instead of cutting it off, it is audible with the silent switch on, and it steps aside while you are tapping so the click never fights your hand.
